Boss fights are an important part of video games. Even though their importance has dwindled over time, they’re still a major part of how we look at games and how we judge them. But, of course, not all games do boss fights as well as others. In this feature, we’re going to take a look at fourteen boss fights from games released in 2017 that turned out to be rather disappointing. If you disagree with any of our picks, and feel like there were others that we failed to mentioned, sound off in the comments section below.

  1. You wouldn't recognize a good boss fight. Witch-King of Angmar is one the best boss fights this year.
Do you actually listen when you play games. That is not how you pronounce 'Rafe'.

  2. I don’t see y mass effect Andromeda is so hate I had no problems with it and the end boss was hard to beat I think people just set games on so high of standard that when they do get what “THEY” want they
throw a tantrum and ruin it for everyone else. Plain and simple if u don’t like it turn it in and get other game stop complaining about it.

  3. In Nioh, yeah, Maria was a cheap boss, but don't forget about the last boss battle from the DLC – the nine tailed fox. That was ridiculous. Just overpowered boss that sometimes can take up the whole screen leaving the player blind…

  4. true – i just beat Knack 2 last week… and when the game was mentioned in the video – I couldn't remember what the final boss was… but the game was quite nice, especially, in co-op

  5. I cant play any pokemon games that take anything besides pokemon from the old ones. The things are just to easy, they just end up dissapointing me. I havent played ultra sun/moon, but I'm not sure I want to face whats his name (ciris? I dunno, the team galactic boss) because it would taint my memories of the old one.

Really dissapoints me how easy the new pokemon games…I remember actually struggling the beat crasher wake, synthia…and god forbid red. From any pokemon games from….I'd say X and Y, I just never had a challenge…

Yeah yeah, I could put in self imposed challenges, but I'm not that sorta person.

What I'd like to see is that difficulty setting from black/white 2, only a bit more fleshed out and available from the games beginning.
