Last week, some of Northern Ireland’s brightest young stars saw their work projected onto the big screen, as CCEA celebrated the 2017 Moving Image Arts Showcase.
The 2 day event which took place in Brunswick Theatre Bowl in Derry/Londonderry and the Odyssey Cinemas in Belfast showcased the best animations and films from CCEA’s GCSE, AS & A2 students.
This short video captures the feelings of some of the students; top tips from former students Meghan McArdle, Leo McGuigan and Kitty Crawford – now huge success stories for Northern Ireland! – on how to follow their career pathway into the film, television and animation industry.
Also offering invaluable advice is Northern Irish Casting Director Carla Stronge, double Emmy Award winner for her casting credits on HBO’s Game of Thrones; and Brian Philip Davis, editor for feature films, short films, TV dramas, documentaries and music videos.
Enjoy!
