Are all your presents wrapped? Is your tree sparkling with fairy lights and baubles? Have you bought the Christmas ham? There are a lot of things to focus on and tick off our lists as we inch closer to the festive season, so why not take a few hours of ‘you-time’, kick off your heels, put up your feet and indulge in a little bit of the streaming services’ newest offerings.

We’ve got three of the best picks for this weekend, so we can guarantee you, you won’t regret it.

The Witcher

The Witcher launches on Netflix. (Nine)

Touted to be the mythic series that fills the hole that Game of Thrones left in our hearts, The Witcher is the newest fantasy show that is set to capture our imaginations and all our thirst, with the gorgeous Henry Cavill taking out the lead role.

What: The Witcher follows the story of Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter who struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.

Where: Only on Netflix.

When: The series hits the streaming service today, so mount your trusty steed, go forth and conquer… the couch.

The Arrangement

When it comes to drama, there’s very little that can top the heady mixture of Hollywood, deceit and a sum of $10 million — and this new show delivers on all counts. The Arrangement is a drama that tells a story you may very well recognise as one that has been splashed across the covers of countless gossip magazines across the world. It follows aspiring actress Megan Morrison, who auditions for a role in a high profile blockbuster film alongside Hollywood heartthrob and action star Kyle West.

What: While she doesn’t secure her dream role, Megan is eventually offered a potentially more lucrative deal: she would receive $10 million if she agrees to marry Kyle, and is then thrown head-first into his world as a member of the cultish religion, The Institute of the Higher Mind. Naturally, not everything goes to plan, and Megan’s life and career is thrown to the wind in this wild journey through the lives of the Hollywood elite.

Where: The show has landed on 9Now.

When: It’s ready for your viewing pleasure right now — as is the unbelievably sexy Josh Henderson, who we have given the title of hottest hunk of 2019. Just ’cause we can.

Rick and Morty Season 4

Love it or hate it, there’s no denying that the irreverent and downright derisive adult animation series Rick and Morty is wildly popular. Now that the highly anticipated fourth season is dropping this weekend, tongues will be wagging about the occasionally offensive but always entertaining comedy.

What: From the psychedelically unhinged mind of creator Justin Roiland, the show tells the story of teenage boy Morty and his grandfather, Rick, who, despite suffering from what is inferred as innumerable mental health issues, is a scientific genius. Because of this, the pair travel through multiple universes and dimensions on their own self-divined misadventures, facing death, despair and a host of surrealistic creatures.

Where: The show has its home on Netflix in this universe, and on Nextaflox in universe B521a.

When: The fourth season in dropping this Sunday, December 22.
