The Cabin story at number 2 is my favourite, such a significant act of kindness 🙂
Shoutout to my grandfather. He solely infiltrated a Japanese encampment. He's passed away, so I don't know the exact reason, but from what I know it was because he was the sergeant and wanted to spare his men.
He survived. He ended up being chased by the soldiers from the area and literally threw a bundle of explosives behind him as he ran away. There was a small crater.
Audie Murphy took on 200 Germans and 5 tanks single handed while firing from a burning half track. He ended up calling in artillery on his own position because the enemy was right on top of him. He won the metal of honor and was the most decorated soldier of the american army during WWII. He wrote a book called to hell and back. If you liked this you should go read it. Thank me later.
