In the current era of video games, publishers are always rushing to get their games out as soon as possible. While this is great for people who don’t like waiting, this comes at the cost of most games completely unfinished when they come out, leaving it to patches to fix the damage. But as time goes on, some of these train wrecks have actually managed to turn into somewhat decent gaming experiences. Here are 6 games that are way better now than when they launched.

  1. If they had not worked on No Mans' Buy, they could've gone looking for a job in another industry…. Nobody would've ever bought another game from them. Yet kudos to devs that don't jump ship after launch…

  2. Fuck updates, just a sorry way to finish developing a title. Could even say that about most DLC content. What happened to a complete game? (said the old man). You may as well just wait for a re-launched title or game of the year editions. Example-witcher 3.

  3. Warframe really got better. I even smashed it at multiple occasions. But the current state is far better than what it was. Including the grind is now far more directed toward some goal.

  4. my boyfriend has been playing for years… i always thought it looked cool but never gave it another thought. when the plains came out i was like "ok NOW im going to try it" i hardly go to the fucking plains which just means ive missed out on at least a good year of awesome gaming. its been a month and I already have 12 warframes and 3 are prime. Thats how much of my life I spend in that game.

  5. Personal Opinion here, but Diablo III is not a good game, not now and certainly not at release. I played it again two or three months ago, and it's the same static environment, static enemy affair. D1 and D2 had random maps and spawns, which made replaying it easy, DIII is stagnant by comparison. Also, while the cinematics are FANTASTIC–Diablo taking on the angels was mind-blowing–the game does't really do anything to forge a link between those little movies and what you are doing aside from basic narrative. It's the same disconnect if you pick up the re-releases of Final Fantasy 1 and 2; they have new opening cinematics that are so graphically superior to the title they stuck them onto that it's jarring. Diablo III is a game I wish I hadn't pre-ordered.

  6. Hero's of the storm, originally released as a decent game were you can have your favorite characters from any and all of blizzards titles beat the crap out of each other. How ever all the alternate outfits were restricted to only the rich as you litealy had to pay real world money just to buy them, made even worse by the fact that the only costume you could get threw alternate means was the worst costume for that character.

  7. News Flash Hello Games have just released this statement "It was Clara!"

No Man's Sky & Hello Games, had no choice but to improve it if they wanted to keep making more games in the future. If it had been brushed under the rug 90% of gamers would probably never touch another title from them. With all the lies they spewed out they created their own major shit storm. All of the patches & updates that they have done so far to fix it should have all been launch content. I find it highly frustrating that developers across the bored rush a title out then drop a day one release patch to fix it.

  8. Good list. Diablo 3 has definitely improved, yes, but it also sadly got rid of a few things that were good- like bonuses to magic find and what the Nephalem Orbs effects were.

I would have also mentioned Star Wars KotoR 2- great game made better thanks to patches and the Restoration Mod including the things LucasArts made Obsidian leave out due to time constraints for a Christmas release.
    (I like to pimp KotoR 2 a lot. It's a bad habit)

  9. Was gifted Diablo III on release day, loved it then, still love it now, Reaper of Souls sealed it for me. Tried Warframe two years ago, I have over 2000 hours logged into it now. Tried ESO earlier this year, expected an MMO, I was pleasantly surprised. I'd strongly recommend all three without question.

  10. Sorry but i payed to get warframe released and i got a prime and a big pile'o shiet that just disappoints with the F2P aspects being less free 2 play and more pay to win. With random mod loot boxes, prime access (where they rip primes from the loot pools and try to sell them to those who didnt have them before the rip oh and it costs around $80), weapons, companions, frames, components for both crafting and for the incubator for some pets, color pallets that have you needing to buy if you didnt want just 5 base colors, and a constant reminder that the damn thing exists since any time you log in the damn thing is right next to you and it's always open showing "sweet daels". The crafting rewards those who have the deepest pockets by having a 3-5 day waiting period to craft……or instant like some sort of early mobile game. (If EA is going through the battlefront 2 ahit than why do people hype this game as a great game if it's more or less worse pay to win than EA. How is that not a Game award? Having a worse micro transaction system than EA)
