wow, didn't know this show even have that big of a budget. I'm guessing this battle will stretch into a few episode. Def. not impress though, i have seen show from other countries that have done a better job with much less money.

Only gripe with the show is they cheese out all the battle scene. With the amount of resource this show have.. they could have made some impressive large scale war scene.

But just talking about the performances, personally, Cersei should've been crueler, and Stannis should be harder, like Iron, hard and brittle, as it goes in the books. I haven't actually seen the second season yet, but from what I have seen, I think Stannis should be played with more of an acerbic personality. He should be more haughty and proud, as he is in the books.

Imo the actors made some of the characters a bit too human, easy to relate to. They weren't that way int he books.

I wasn't talking about aesthetics, the actors aren't ugly, it's just that they don't look the way I imagined them.

Anyway, I suppose that a person will forget what they imagined pretty quickly when watching a screen adaptation, and from then on it's about the performan

Still…….the books are more engaging, for some due to the interplay of characters like Stannis / Renly, as they are in books, in everything from their actions, what they say, their appearance, all of it tells us who they are.

Personally, I find it important. It was a part of the character.

Plus, I always imagined Stannis looking a lot more haggard than you see here.
