What are the Game of Thrones cast members doing when they’re not getting ready to shoot season 8? Let’s find out.

First and foremost, the Three-Eyed Raven is going to college, by which I mean that Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran Stark) has entered the freshmen class at the University of Birmingham, the fourth largest university in the UK. Predictably, some of the student body are tickled.

I don’t know what all of those Britishisms mean, but best of luck to Wright in his studies. I hope he’s prepared for a lot of jokes about whether his all-knowingness is an unfair advantage.

Also unclear is how Wright will juggle his studies with filming on Game of Thrones, which begins this October. Let’s hope Bran doesn’t have an early exit.

Meanwhile, full-grown adult cast member John Bradley (Samwell Tarly) has a new movie coming out: American Satan. You can watch the trailer below.

That looks pretty wild. I thought it was a movie about a scrappy rock band until Malcolm MacDowell showed up, and he’s apparently the devil? Sam’s not cut out for that.

Recently cast off cast member Aidan Gillen (Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish) also has a new project: according to The Telegraph, he’ll play controversial Irish comedian Dave Allen in Dave Allen at Peace, a movie for BBC Two. According to the network, the movie will cover “how [Allen] survived decades of the Roman Catholic Church’s wrath, death threats from the IRA and a ban by Irish and Australian TV, only to have his television career end in controversy when he used the f-word in an innocuous joke.”

In a weird instance of art imitating…other art, Conleth Hill (Varys) will play Allen’s brother. So while Littlefinger and Varys didn’t get to meet again on Game of Thrones before Littlefinger died, they’ll reunite…in a way…in this new project.

Finally, here’s a video of Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (the Mountain) lifting an enormous amount of weight and being generally intimidating.
