  1. Just to add, if Bronn was not an important character, they could have written him out after the breakup with Lena. Why go to all the effort to make sure they don't do scenes together? Unless he has a role to play? Especially now that they are thinking the heard, so to say, before next season.

  2. Bronn is so important not because GRRM wrote him so, but because he's a comedic relief and casting many different actors is a pain, he's basically done many different roles that were present in the books but were abandoned in the show. He's an interesting character in the books, maybe even more so, but his big presence in the show creates a wrong impression of his importance.

  3. Bronn was chosen to train Jamie via Tyrion as Tyrion knew he could trust Bronn to keep his mouth shut. Jamie and even Tyrion couldn't trust any other swordsman to train Jamie in secret. IMO, Bronn is "no one" and possibly Syrio Forel???

  4. "by the end of this thing he may just be more wealthy than the iron bank" – well, that depends entirely on what happens to the iron bank. the show has established that banks don't tend to fare well with revolutionaries (meaning daenarys, and jon snow would probably count, too), and the one thing that seems to be certain is that cersei is going down. so whatever westeros becomes isn't looking very good for the iron bank. but if I'm not mistaken, the bank has influence outside of the seven kingdoms, so to be poorer than bron, daenarys would probably have to roast them.

  5. He was chosen to train jaime lannister because jaime didn't want anyone to know that without his right hand, he would be so weak. As he said: "No one can know that i can't protect myself". That's why he was chosen. Not Jaime, either Tyrion came to conclusion that Broon must train Jaime because he was very skilled. GREAT videos by the way. Thumbs up to you.

  6. It was shown in that particular episode that Tyrion chose bronn to train Jaime because he knew bronn was loyal and trustworthy, so long as he gets paid and he gets paid quite a lot by tyrion. He was only chosen to keep jaimes weakness and lack of skill discrete after he lost his hand.

  7. Bronn is an honest character who does not need theories behind him to be great, he plays an important role because he is funny, comical and irreverent. Also a moral compass of sorts.

  8. Fast forward to the present, based on last episode.. not really spoilers just a line he said, I think his first kill may have been when he was five. I suppose that's when he learned what happens..

  9. bron is good with a sword but he was choosen as jamie trainner mainly because they trust that he will do what he is paid to do. In this case he was paid to train jamie but above all to keep it quiet that jamie is not as skilled as he was.
