MMMMM. BUUUT! In the toxic Rick example, it's the part of Rick that Rick believes is toxic that thinks there's no God and that he would be god. So. Does this mean that Rick actually does think there is some kind of god!?

I still think rick is the closest thing to a god and just doesn't care enough to do anything godly, he has the ability but it's mundane and boring to him as seen in the episode "something ricked this way comes"when he shows he can undo the devil's power with ease.

I personally think that the reality tv heads are more of a god than rick because although he could of just teleport-ed away; he still had no other plan besides play along / perform in their game. Maybe this could be another reason for his depression, know that although he is the smartest he is not the most important.

I think in rick and Morty there is a God, and rick has contacted him, only to be disappointed that it's not his vision of what God should be. That's probably why he always denied God's existence, but when faced with death, prays.
