In season one's ep 1… whn Ned comes across the dead stag with its guts out….isn't it hinting Robert's death? coz sigil of house baratheon is a stag and robert was killed the same way like the stag.

What about the beheading scene in episode one where I think Jon tells Bran, "Don't look away. Father will know." and Arya is watching when Ned gets beheaded and doesn't look away. Am I remembering/connecting incorrectly or is there a correlation there?

The focusing on Brand part, It was also focusing on Jon, maybe Jon and Bran working together to defeat the walkers.

I love the theory that the children referred to in this scene may actually have been the Children of the Forest. Given the way they were all displayed by the White Walkers and positioned to resemble the Weirwood tree, it makes perfect sense.

A curious find of mine was the conversation between Aemon Targeryan and Jon Snow in season 1. In one particular episode, Aemon makes references to family and honour. I remember watching it, clearly believing that it was heavily foreshadowing the sacrifice Ned Stark made by raising Lyanna's baby as his own. Aemon asks what is honour compared to a mother's love for her child.

I also think it might have hinted that Aemon may well have suspected Jon's real identity.

Other foreshadowing: Nan's stories on all the monsters, Melisandre saying Jon had kings blood and it was powerful, Catlynn making a magical doll icon to protect Bran and the only other boy she made it for was Jon and Bran is her only surviving son.
Possible foreshadowing: Stanis told Samwell Tarley to keep reading to find a solution to the White Walkers and he ends up in the Citadel's library.

Apologies if this was mentioned and I missed it, but I don't see any reference to the dead stag and direwolf the stark retinue come across in the woods, which surely foreshadowed the death of both Robert Baratheon and Ned Stark, since both animals are sigils of their houses.
