  1. Very good stuff, this is probably the greatest story writing overall as a book/tv show , it's creative and deep, I hope it's arya, but I kinda leaning that she's dead and the other chick is her, she did tell her everything about her, even her list, her family, aryas demeanor is really different , i'm just not gonna lie to myself , this could be a test for the no name girl , I kinda like it , very dark and gritty , let's hope it's arya when it's all done

  2. Your theories are excellent but I find your accent difficult to understand at times. Maybe your words are spun together and pronouncing Waif as Vayfe is confusing(to me). I'm catching on though. Thanks.

  3. Did the Waif killed Arya Stark ?
Yes, but in a symbolic way.
My theory is that the Waif doesn't really "exist" (she is already no one) and is a motor of change.
She is supposed to kill the old to make the new "persona" come out.
When you think about it, without the Waif, Arya could not be the cunnin assassin that she is in the 7th season.
She needed to be pushed over the edge to die, and reborn (that's why the Waif doesn't simply slit her throat when she catches her).
When Arya (now "no one")come to Jaquen to tell him that she's leaving, the Waif has accomplished her mission (and i believe she is not even dead, after all, she's no one).

  4. Maybe they want it to be as though there is no waif, no Arya. There are no identities for the faceless. But I'm just tinkering with the idea. Either way, she was gut stabbed. Did the waif just miss organs?

  5. Can you tell me what you think about this?

Arya is famously left-handed. However, when she tosses the money bags onto the table, she uses her right hand both times. Then, she has needle in her left hand when she cuts the candle in the dark room. When she goes back to the house to confront Jaqen, she has needle in her right hand. Finally, when she kills Walder, she has the knife in her right hand.

I'm not sure what that means, but it seems suspicious.

  6. I am more inclined with theory #3. Not because that people will not intervene with Arya fighting the Waif. Because when talking about the Starks and Jon in particular the waif corrected Arya on being half brother. The Waif knew how Arya felt about certain members of the family. Although it makes sense for Jaquen to smoke the waif out. I do believe the waif failed her test meaning she was ordered to kill Arya with out pain. To do that it is best to do quickly and instead of drawing it out. If Waif was serious she could have used poison instead of making Arya suffer.

  7. Why isn't anyone analyzing what the Waif said to Arya right after lady crane was killed? Its bothering the hell out of me that no one picked up on this… The Waif said that "NO ONE" can change the mind of the many face god… that in conjunction of what Jaqen said to ayra before she abandoned the house of black and white which was "You are truly no one" JUST PROVED THAT SHE CHANGED THE MIND OF THE MANY FACE GOD.. SHE "NO ONE" WAS ABLE TO CHANGE THE MIND OF THE MANY FACE GOD.. SHE IS NO ONE! I'm sorry, its killing me that no one is seeing this…

  8. Arya was dead after the poison. The rest was the final test of the waif. Now the waif passed and has assumed Arya's identity to claim the kills that Arya had offered up to the many-faced god.

  9. Sometimes it is best to keep things simple. None of the theories doesn't really make sense; it looks good as it happened (I mean, all characters for real). None of them make the story more interesting than the way it is now.

The Faceless become another character to serve some purpose, some immediate purpose. What's the actual need of The Waif to become Arya? The Faceless doesn't really have to plot something of that sort to kill a few in the Westeros.

Becoming 'no one' is not all about playing a role to perfection (it is being someone, remember Jaqen saying the girl can become someone) or being so good at the art of lying (that also, Arya already does before to her mentor's satisfaction). It is more about realizing that she's no one, even if she belongs to the Starks and she is Arya Stark. I see it as a philosophical thing.

  10. There's no way Arya is now the waif…that would be terrible and disappointing story writing.

That would've been akin to having Jon (the 'one') die at Ramsey's hands in the battle of the bastards…there's just so many unfulfilled plot lines (eg, her list, Malisandra telling her 'we'll meet again', the Hound still being alive and how that relationship intentionally didn't have a legitimate conclusion, reuniting with her siblings, etc)…there's too many great stories to tell that would be total unfulfilling crap if she were the waif.

  11. These flights of fanciful speculation that "Mr. X is really Mrs. Y" have gone off the deep end at this point. One thing Arya was told very early on (when she became the fishmonger girl) was that she had to choose an identity that required only facial changes, and maintained roughly the same body size /features. She couldnt pretend to be a toddler or a burly sailor, because her body would be too big for the former, and too small for the latter (Im staggered to think I actually have to point this out).

So no — neither Jaqen or the Waif could impersonate Arya (or vice-versa). Similarly, Im almost certain that Jaqen is not Syrio Forel, who was only a head taller than Arya. Jaqen might possibly be Ned Stark, or Syrio could have been the waif, but please… spare me any more theories about impossible scenarios, like Jaqen disguising himself as Tyrion, or Arya impersonating Brienne, or any other ridiculous theory. The faceless men change their FACES, not their shape and size. Good greif! Start talking sense!!!
