What if Beth isn't Rick's daughter at all, but actually a younger clone of his wife?

What if rick was there but he was a robot except he made him more loving but beth found out he was a robot and his wife also found out

It's not day care, he specifically says it's to distract her and keep her from killing local kids and animals. He doesn't do it because her mother isn't there, he does it because her mother can't watch her 24/7. He doesn't want Morty to fall in love because Morty, like his mother, has serious sociopathic tendencies. Think about how many people Morty has killed. One of the first things that happens is Morty has to shoot some Gromthomites so Rick tells him they're robots. When he finds out they're not he doesn't stop shooting does he? And he continues on the adventures despite knowing they often involve the deaths of people who haven't hurt him or anyone he knows about.

That might be why he hates Jerry, for perpetuating a cycle he thought would end with her in a shootout with police.

I think Beth somehow wiped her mother from all realities because she wanted Rick for herself. Rick was afraid of his own daughter and created Froopyland to get away from her.

My theory is that maybe Beth killed her Mother, and Rick distanced himself from her but loves his daughter so much the fact that his daughter killed his wife caused rick to snap and stop caring about anything,

I actually think that the hidden storyline that the creators wanted to put into the show IS the entirety of Rick's backstory. (You know the one the creators said they wanted to have in, the one that only the most observant of fans would be able to detect and know about). Think about it… most people even when just watching the show would get the Evil Morty story arc, but if they sprinkle in hidden references and background details that actually tell us Rick's backstory, then only the most astute of fans would be able to know about it, because we would be paying the closest attention to the show. I know they would "never" (in quotes because I bet when the show ends at some point in the future ((as all shows do)), the creators will probably detail or at least tell us what that hidden storyline is) tell the fans what the storyline is, but I do think they are hiding bits and pieces of his backstory in various episodes, and I think it would be a cool way to actually get to know Rick, because then the more you pay attention to the show, and background details/hidden references then the more you learn about Rick.

Not sure how well this stands, but I do think that is what it is turning out to be.

Nice theory, and I bet if my theory about Rick's history being the hidden storyline in the show is true, then we will definitely get more details as the show goes on, and we get more and more seasons. Maybe they will reveal a picture of his wife REAL quickly in the background of a future episode, pretty much saying, "Hey you caught this background detail, so you win a picture of Rick's wife." Even if the scene has nothing to do with his wife at all. :3

Cant wait to see Squanchy in the season Finale. Hopefully….

At one point Beth says "He left my mom" Also consider that Beth got pregnant with Summer at 17, and Summer is still in high school, so she is 16-18. I doubt Rick left Beth after his wife left them both.

Rick and Beth never talk about her like she's dead. He's always saying how he couldn't make marriage work so they obviously were divorced.
Strange that you never meet her or Beth never really mentions her.

The multiverse theory states that there are infinate universes. Meaning theres a universe where Rick is normal and with his wife and a couple with his wives are alive too

Its no wonder Beth has abandonment issues, Rick's left her more than once. Jerry made Her choose between himself and Rick, which aside from threatening to turn him into the Gov't and trying to kill him once, weren't both bad enough, already. Morty had it right about Jerry, if he really wants Beth back, he needs to accept that Rick is part of the Family, like it or not, and deal with it. Question is, can he do that? Your theory on Rick doing something to affect every single one of his wives, not being with him in every universe intrigues me….

Problem: its impossible that Rick left Beth in Froopy land for very long, seeing how there's no food or water in that dimension. Tommy was only able to survive through repeated incest and infanticide. She could have been in there for a day or so with snacks but I doubt Rick would chance his daughter starving to death. It goes against Froopy land's entire ideal. At best he just used as a distraction for when he was gone.

I think that rick was in total love with a girl in his young age and then he proposed her. But the younger rick was very dumb of sorts so the girl says no to him, which pisses him off big time and then his inner scientist/smartest person wakes up in which he creates beth as symbol of his love.

If Rick did something to protect Dianne his wife, then why wouldnt he do the same for his daughter, things dont add up, it feels like he went to every universe and wiped her from existence.
