Regarding the Seeing, I've got a strange eye condition which leaves a dozen or so strands of near-translucent dots and bubbles floating around in my field of sight like lit-up, living tentacles. Getting over it has meant recognizing that these things don't exist in the real world. It's taken several months, but I'm almost used to them. So, senses aren't always trustworthy, and sometimes you have to use the thinking mind rather than the perceiving mind to correct the mistakes your senses transmit to you. Just a thought.
