The obvious reason why the white walkers don’t kill Craster is that he has a deal with them. But I’m a little slow, so a second reason clicked the other day. This might be common sense to some of you sharper cookies

This is 1 of 2 quick side videos that I made when brainstorming some night king tinfoil. Will release the other of the 2 next Monday and the real video the week after.

Hope all is well my friend. I FINALLY bought a new computer…literally 10 minutes ago =)))) and my first camera ever. woohoo!

  1. My prediction: Jon will negotiate a pact with the walkers. Dany will break that pact and kill nearly all the walkers. Dany will be heralded as the "hero of the dawn", but she is in truth a mass murderer. Dany will be assassinated by Arya before she sits on the throne for breaking guest right. Dan will "save" humanity only to doom it to another long night in the future. For the North Remembers. There you go, a "bittersweet" ending.

  2. I've actually never considered guest right or any sort of that. I know (or assume, based on books) Craster only gave male babies because he didn't want someone to contend with him. His presumption being, and this is assumption, if he only keeps the women, they're less of a threat. They'll listen and never assume things are any different if they're raised in such a way. Sexism abound in Craster, and that's honestly, maybe obviously, the least of his disgusting characteristics.

I also wonder on how old he actually is. Maybe extended or eternal life is a thing that can be granted with offering up babies to the Others (sorry, White Walkers)? Having a hundred babies suggests a lot of getting busy, and a lot of taking care of those pregnant, which would make it hard on Craster's servants at some point. Less servants, too, would mean worse service. Is he willing to do all that for offerings? Food for thought.

  3. The white walkers can't reproduce in George rr Matain fist first drafts for asoiaf the white walkers were called the never born, if look hard anuff you can find the draft online my guess for the name change is that the name never born gives away to much away and more or less explains why it has take the so long to return after the long night.

  4. Hi Kev.

I hope like hell for the White Walkers to have motivations, emotions, needs, critical thinking and a good reason for what they do. The show seems to hint that they are intelligent and sentient, however, I don't see much emotions or reasoning in their behavior. The White Walkers killed many innocent people and mostly turned them into soldiers in their army, so they don't seem to be peaceful or merciful. They killed children and those children ate their mother's face at Hardhome (remember that badass female warrior???). They come off as scary and mysterious monsters. I wouldn't be surprised if they are messengers of the Gods' wrath and punishment for the humans' wars and horrors- sort of like the story of the biblical Flood- sent to ruin the known world for it to be rebuilt later. But I don't think they're somehow simply the good guys.

Craster may not be physically or technically sacrificing his sons but he IS killing their souls, their wills and destroying their futures; of course that's arguably better than being raped by your own father and birth your daughters to wed your father and birth your sons to be turned into White Walkers. Although I hated Karl and the mutineers, I can't say I felt sorry for Craster.

In the books, there was historically at least one female White Walker. The Night's King (not the same as the Night King) was a Lord Commander of the Night's Watch who was seduced by a female with bright ice blue eyes and pale skin, obviously a Walker.

  5. I wonder if the Others are so named because they are the property or thralls of the Great Other? As in, whose creatures are these: the Other's?

So far the Night King is HBO only, a convenient Big Bad to give the Others a series figurehead. But will he have his counterpart in the Winds of Winter?

"He Who Must Not Be Named" suggests a deliberately obscured identity or something taboo. Death himself; the Stranger; or Rumplefuckinstiltskin. Will his/her eventual reveal have us face-palming "oh brother", or wondering how the hell we could have been so blind? With such a reveal would come the Others true agenda. Lets hope it lives up to the secrecy. And that its not Bran.

  6. Bridge i just hope tgat season 8 doesn't come and go without an explanation of the WW their motives language religion etc if they just fight and someone is the Victor without reasoning it's truly going to add to the bittersweetness that we are already promised that would be a tragedy

  7. Awsome point of view..
I wonder if he has been taking the boys Hoping for a Green seer. If Craster has Stark blood n wildling blood good chace of a worg & Green seer like Bran.. & Maybe baby Sam will be.. If you look at sam sins hes a bit older with those big blue eyes he looks Alot like the blond hair blue eyed guy that the children tied to a tree n put dragon glass in his heart….

  8. Superb video. It seems from the comments that we all believe the White Walkers are not mindlessly evil. In the books the only time we actually see them do anything is attack and kill people. There must be some motivation for their actions. You should do some more videos exploring that theme.

  9. When the whitewalker comes to collect Gilly's baby, that is the last time we see a shirtless whitewalker in the show. Presumably this was because that walker was the first one to be killed with dragon glass in a long time and the Night King made them all wear armour from then on but another theory could be that after Sam killed the walker he broke the pact between the humans and the walkers that humans must be sacrificed. So the reason they wear armour from then on is because they have declared war for the breaking of the pact.

  10. Yey :)) we have another awesome video to start the week with 🙂 As for the WW, if it turns out they are truly evil, i would be very disappointed. There has to be some more to those ominously silent creatures ( but what ??? ah, the possibilities 🙂 ) The game of "telephone" when passing along the history and the messages over time comes to play here (i hope that is the case).

  11. Great video dude, I am curious to see whether or not if they're evil! I would love the learn more about the Others! Wait doesn't Guest right only apply to the people that are doing the hosting. So if Craster kill Karl that would be breaking Guest right.

  12. Nice work! I have always assumed that Craster, Ygritte, Mance, because of the way they treat Jon and become interested in him after learning or knowing about his name, knew something about him and his destiny (They could have knowledge or old stories about the first pact that was originally intended to be made or some other spooky knowledge) , or it could simply be knowing more about the Stark bloodlines importance as you mentioned in this video.

The whole "Yuu Knu Nuthin Jun Snuw" line also be a suttle nod to them knowing more about his destiny than he does?

If Craster had knowledge of the original pact of Ice & Fire, more about it than we know, could this also be how he managed to create the pact initially. I always wonder if the Whitewalkers communicating through a language that Craster could interpret well enough to come to the arrangement was the most plausible of all the options. I have never seen the Whitewalkers as a very talkative horde!

Just thoughts as I was watching this! Again great work and lovely editing.

    Great work as always Kevin!

  13. We don't know enough about them or their motivations to label them simply as "evil" imo. Dangerous, most definitely. But evil…we'll have to wait & see.

  14. I know they're considered the "bad guys" but I don't believe they're evil .. just creepy as hell!

    L♥ve your vids-
    Appreciate all your hard work-👏

    Always a pleasure.Thanx Kev 💜💝💛💚💙💗💜💝💛💚💙💗💜💝💛
