Well, I'd say that, if Jamie is sinking, so would bronn, because of their armour, and since bronn survived as seen in the episode 5, I think it wouldn't be too unlikely that Jamie survives
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau has revealed the script told a main character was going to die that episode. So, Jaime has to be dead, unless you consider Bronn a "main character".
Personally I hope he's dead. And about the prophecy, it's the "valonqar", or "little brother" that is going to kill Cersei. She thinks Tyrion will kill her, but since when are prophecies so easy to explain? It could just as well be a "Brother of the Night's Watch" who will kill Cersei. In fact, as the propehecy also stated a younger and more beautiful queen will cast Cersei down and take all she holds dear, this could be another argument for Jaime being dead.

Lets not forget that Bronn fell in with him and is wearing leather armor. I wouldn't be surprised if they reopen the scene with Bronn pulling Jaime out of the water.
