They could bring in Tom Welling as Evil Superman in the Crossover episodes. That way he could be "in" the show but not mess up anything he has done before.

I think that flashpoint shouldve been a way to mess with olivers world a little and make williams character older. I say this because william is just a kid, olivers kid and yes it does give oliver another emotional arc but at the same time william isnt doing much. I think if they grew him up and made him older then it wouldve made more sense because he could be doing more, becoming a hero himself to make olivers life and the tv show more enjoyable to watch.
