KIT Harington has revealed he “blew his load early” when he proposed to his Game Of Thrones co-star Rose Leslie.
The couple have been dating since they met on the set of the fantasy series in 2012 and confirmed their engagement with an announcement in The Times.
Kit, 30, appears on The Jonathan Ross Show this weekend and opened up about popping the question.
The proposal didn’t go exactly to plan as the famous actor got so excited that he asked Rose too early.
He said: “We did a little announcement in The Times…
“I did have some plans to do it, I was going to string up some lights in some trees and do all the romantic stuff but we were in the country and we were under this beautiful night sky and had a log fire burning and red wine and I blew my load early.”
Realising what he’d said, he laughed: “Sorry that’s a really bad expression”.
“I was meant to do it the day after with the lights. What I meant to say was, I popped my question a bit early. Not blew my load.”
Kit said wedding plans are in full swing already and he got in touch with a producer on the show to let him know filming schedules would have to change for their nuptials.
As they met on the show, production is going to be shut down so everyone can attend the bash.
He explained: “I rang him up and I said, ‘I’m getting married and it’s your fault actually’… I think for the final season he is so stressed that he’s reached that peaceful level.
“I was like, ‘You need to factor in a Game of Thrones wedding by the way.’ They [the cast] have all got to be there so the whole thing has got to shut down.”
However, there’s no chance of the couple having a Game Of Thrones themed wedding.
He laughed: “No. There is absolutely no chance of me convincing her of that.”
Kit recently opened up about falling in love with Rose, who played Wildling Ygritte in the HBO series.
When asked about his favourite memory of shooting the series, he told L’Uomo Vogue: “The three weeks in Iceland where we shot the second season… because the country is beautiful, the light of the North magic, and it was there that I fell in love.
“If you are attracted to a person and in fiction they’re your love interest, it becomes easy to fall in love…”
