Rainn Wilson had much more personality and acting skills than the other ones auditioning for Dwight, it was natural for him.
Jenna Fischer, John Krasinsky and Steve Carrell were also great choices for each character, that made the show great.

It's funny. You can already see here that Carrell was born for the role. Everybody does a great job with their character but they had much development to do. Steve…just is Michael Scott 🙂
