Actor Roy Dotrice (dough-treece), has died at the age of 94. According to a statement released by his family, the British actor died peacefully in his London home surrounded by family. Dotrice was best known for his role as Mozart’s father in Amadeus and his work on Game of Thrones, narrating all of the lengthy unabridged Game of Thrones audiobooks. He also briefly appeared in the show, appearing in a few episodes in season 2. In 2011, the Guinness World Records company certified him as the record holder for greatest number of characters voiced in an audio book with 224. He was originally set to play a larger role in the Game of Thrones series, but those plans changed after he was diagnosed with cancer. He succesfully beat the disease prior to his passing.

It's a shame that fat tub of lard couldn't write a book faster so we could have gotten at least one more audiobook in the series read by this man
🙁 Genuinely sad about that. He was an incredible actor.
