I went to Japan when I was only twenty three years old and fell in love with the County and it's people, when it was time to leave and return to the UK, and the plane took off from the runway and up into the Sky I just cried for having to leave this unique County that Japan is. I have since been back to Japan twice over the years and the passion for Japan is still within me and will remain with me for the rest of my life.

Her eyes, face, lips, look, tears, skin, her body, her hair, her way to sleep, her closed eyes whenever she dreamt and I stepped near her, looking without getting tired. I do still hear and see her smile, feel her hands, and I weep.. and hurt me so deep inside, to know that I will never be able to say to her, that, spite of time has elapsed, I still love her, so much as when we met, as our first kiss.. so deeply, that I would give everything I posses on earth to be able to take her face between my hands, to look at her just for a while, to be able to be gifted by life and God and hold her so tight.   8. I was trained to fight from age 9, now 49 years ago. Amongst different black belt degrees I also have one in Iao – Do. The Art of the Bushi, better known these days as the Samurai. He, who protects. There is Bushido (the way) there is Bushi (he who lives by the way) and there is the Bu (the weapon skils he masters on his path following the Way).The use of the Katana, is very much focused upon in this Masterpiece, and it should. Close combat using every single weapon was the last resort during battle however. Most of the enemy was taken out by arrows. Using the Yumi the Kyudo way.Whenever there was a duel between 2 Bushi, a sanctioned one, they introduced themself by telling their names and their ancestors. Honor was held in high regard and respect those days. A quality that defines man to his core. Sadly enough unknown anymore in this day and age. Of course, with the usual exeptions under proffesionel soldiers, and semi/full pro fighters.This movie I watch every year at least 3 or 4 times. Once every season you can say.And yes, of course, tears flow and not Always on the expected scenes. The scene were Tom Cruise fights initially unarmed in the dark Streets, fighting multiple enemys, the way he reflects afterwards … happens. That is if your body reacts on itself, sensing every move of your opponent before he even knows that he wil make it. Like a Chess Master. Hans Zimmer's music is essential for this Tale. It nuances every possible feeling of the actors. When Ridley Scott made Gladiator, he and Hans Zimmer watched the entire movie with ONLY the soundtrack on. No words, nothing else. When it was over Ridley Scott rose up from his seat and said 'We have made an Opera'.The greatest compliment a composer like Hans Zimmer can get !

  19. For me listening to this melody is like going to that place where I wanted to be, that place we don't really know existed but we want it to exist and we need it to exist so dying has a purpose.
