You really think he'd go back to the brotherhood after they sold him to Melisandre like a slave? Especially considering they basically sold him to be a human sacrifice. If he goes back to them, it's to seek revenge. I think Dany will grant him Storm's end, and maybe he'll marry Arya, though it's hard to imagine her agreeingbto marry anyone, even Gendry, and if you try to force her you're liable to become a pie.

This has probably already been posted, but wasn't the actor who portrays Gendry spotted recently arriving at the Dublin shooting location for GOT, just before shooting was to begin?  It may be just a coincidence, but it sounds like Gendry still has a part to play in the GOT saga.

I agree Gendry has to play some roll as to restore the Baratheon name. And I think if Jon sits on the throne, the democracy idea will be a strong possibility. He has never wanted to rule, and even Tyrion on Dany's side could play a role in the change to a democracy.

I would love to see Gendry with Arya, but it seems to "perfect ending" for Game of Thrones for a love story there. I suspect Arya may die sometime. I have a hard time seeing her involved in the fight with the White Walkers. What do you think?

And I think your theory on Gendry being a blacksmith and helping make Valerian steel swords makes a lot of sense with the storyline. I hope D&D goes in that direction. Maybe Jorah in this part of the story would also be nice! It seems like a great way to aline Sam and Jon with these characters that would eventually lead to a peaceful Jon and Dany union.

Ever since I first watched GoT I was hoping that Arya and Gendry would get married when she was older and now that she's back in Westeros I really hope that that's going to happen! I also want her to reunite with Nymeria… I'm glad I'm not the only one hoping for Arya and Gendry though! 😀

What if Aria reunites with Gentry and the Hound and the three of them go to Winterfell. there, Sansa and Gentry become the union of house Barratt eon and Stark as Robert had planned.

I would love to see Gendry again in the story; and if he could have a hand in the end game the better. I kind off cooled off on Arya story but having her meet up with Gendry could breathe new life into that secondment of the story for me. It would be cool if Arya met up with Gendy and the Hound in season 7.

Now the question is, would Gendry be legitimized? He's the only remaining member of House Baratheon in the show, not the books.

He is in book 5. Brienne was traveling (through the riverlands, I believe, if anyone knows, correct me) and she comes across a small rundown Inn with no adults, just a bunch of orphans living together. she describes him a blacksmith, with a muscular right arm, dark hair, and he calls himself Gendry. He helps brienne fight off bandits to protect the kids.

It would be great if Gendry came back and ended up being at least partially responsible for Cercei's downfall. It's thanks to that bitch he went through all that shit. But him coming back just so he can make valyrian steel swords seems like silly writing to me as surely there are more blacksmiths in westerous.

I have always felt that Arya's ultimate theme is loneliness. She's always alone in every situation. It's like she doesn't fit in. I really don'e think she'll end up marrying anyone. I don't think George RR Martin intended for Arya to be normal in those ways. I have always thought of Arya as representing someone who is not male or female but both, like Yin and Yang. It's like she represents the masculine and feminine qualities in all of us. If you think she will get married and have babies and live a princess life, then you folks haven't been paying attention. She despises that type of lifestyle. I mean honestly she will probably die in some epic way.

I don't think Gendry is dead either. Ser Barriston Selmy was gone for a long time from the show, as were the Hound, Osha and Rickon Stark. The show has been pretty good at giving us closure on the ones that truly are dead (The Blackfish's off-screen death was anti-climactic, ditto Stannis but the show was good enough to tell us). I think we'll see Jorah again at some point, too.
