Why do you think Jaqen hung around to kill people for Arya, and why do you think that he tried to recruit her for the Faceless Men?
Jaqen is Ned Stark and Arya is a secret Targarian. It is known.
Pretty sure Jaqen is her dancing master. He came back to save her. Arya is going to burn KingsLanding to the ground.
Didn't he mention having a wife? and Arya reminded him of her?
You ended that series with a home run, indeed! I swear GRRM is your neighbor… Fantastic insights, as always, Robert. 😉
Good video. Maybe it was just luck to stumble onto a kindred spirit , ripening broken hearted serial killer . Was he there to kill Ned along the way or ask him where the other child is ?
The faceless men were former slaves they never had a noble in their midst
I have heard that Jaquin is anyone from serio to raghar, but the best theory I’ve heard is that he is Ned Stark. Check out the theory it makes sense considering where Varis’ loyalties truly are.
Jaqen H'Gar name is similar to Rhaegar, do you think it's possible that he could be him?
The FM have been lurking around Westeros, with a larger agenda. Pate provides a key to the Citadel. His poisonous reward was for a sinister piece of access, but what do the FM need ? Intel, but what for? My suspicion is hatching a dragon egg, perhaps from Euron. But what would they do with a dragon? Take over Bravos? Essos? More?…
Great videos. I feel like Arya will somehow turn out to be Azor Ahai. But I can't justify why.
This makes so much sense. I suspect that Jaqen, already being well aware of Arya's true roots, stayed around to help her escape from Harenhall. He must have felt certain that if he offered to kill 3 she named, that she'd use that chance to get away. There of course must have been a reason for him wanting her to do that. Simply recruiting Arya to continue the line of Faceless Men surely can't be the only one. When Jaqen told her she was finally 'no-one' and she replied that she was SOMEONE, she was Arya Stark and was going home, as she left Jaqen looked pleased. A No-one insisting that she is someone would go against the ethics of the Faceless Men, yet Jaqen seemed happy about it. Why? Can't wait to hear what your theory is about that – so much looking forward to the next video.
Did Ned hire a faceless man to train and protect her? Starks are good with money. He clearly knew he was going to die soon.
You are the best!
Interesting comment about why Jaqen was in the black cells: to kill someone. But he left because that person was already dead. Sounds like it was Ned. But why? By the way, I like your new emoji … but it still looks like you have a bong collection.
Uh, I like the idea that he came back for her because of her "prayer". It does make a lot of sense. I think the fact that she had skills, the will, and a noble background made her an interesting prospect for the Faceless Men. Someone with a noble background can blend in at the top and learn to blend in at the "bottom" of society perhaps easier than someone from a lowborn background. And she doesn't stand out. She isn't as beautiful and easily recognizable as her sister (for instance) – her looks, like The Waife's, are almost nondescript/average, she isn't tall, she can sort of look like a boy or a girl as she pleases, and she pays attention. Lastly, I think he sees that "spark" in her, Tywin saw it and The Hound did too. It might be her potential for killing they recognize or her willingness to kill.
Well done again Robert! Arya has been my personal favorite from the moment she hit the bulls eye in S1. I even told my wife that this girl will play a important part in the show. (Little did I know!) My head wants to explode thinking about Jaquins' interest in her. More questions than answers. Is it coincidental that Serrio and Jaquin are at Kings Landing at the same time? Did Neds' hiring of the 1st Sword of Bravos (to train his daughter) stimulate the interest of the "Faceless Men"? At the end of the turmoil of S1, Arya seemed the perfect target for recruitment, based on all of your findings in this video. Trant supposedly killed Serrio. Arya killed Trant. Yet Arya Arya was not punished, not really, if you take into account her "blind girl" training. Just some thoughts on the matter, but like I said more questions than answers. TC…
Dude i’m completely addicted to this series. You deserve 1 million more subs
Excellent, well thought out video, what is Jaqen's motive. I personally hope Arya gets with Gendry and finds her own 'family' with him but Ï'm a romantic girl, not GRRM. Or you!
But Gendry Baratheon just might end up The King , while I doubt she would ever want t be a queen, when she's a Water Dancer. Though he's cool and might understand.
TV won't let murderers end up happy people, justified or not. Though GoT gives the Faceless Men holy status and right to kill.
Someone put forth the proposition that she would warg into Nymeria..forever. That might be a good way to go. Too bad the show ignored this relationship between Arya and Nymeria throughout. It could be a book ending, but not a show ending. I think.
Again, thanks for sharing your ideas.
Interesting…now you have my attention…
…valar morghulis… ;>)
I see your point but l see him as protecting her. I feel he might even be her dancing teacher still protecting her. After all, we did not see him die.
An interesting point of view for jaqen and arya relationship also a good video keep it up
I think it’s all to do with the endgame the balance of good and evil and she will have to return to the house of black-and-white because she is no one that’s what I think in season 8
I think Jacqen might have been Syrio Forel. We never saw him die and he could have changed faces to escape. He couldn't change into Syrio because he would have been recognized. When he realized it was Arya, he might have stayed to keep an eye on her and he wanted to teach her how to protect herself.
Ya he does turn his face for a second, before he changes his face as he says goodbye to her.
All other times the FM change their faces right in plain view , no face turn
