Game Of Thrones Season 8 – Will Meera and Howland Reed Return?

I’m thinking that she dies on her way back from to the gods eye and Howland comes looking for her.

Knowing how disappointing D&D can be and the fact that Bran can fill Howland's role, I am going to assume that we will not see Howland. However if everyone under Jon's rule is going to Rally together than we may see Howl and since he is one of Jon's bannerman and the final war is beginning. So we may see him but I don't think we should get our hopes or expectations up.

well, if there's something good about her not returning, it's the relief of knowing the "leaked plot" is a total BS. Will miss her nevertheless.

When GRRM said, Howland Reed knows too much about the central mystery of the story, I think he meant it as secrets related to the COTF and their motives/magic, not jon snow's parentage. who knows if by the end of it jon will at all be in a position to claim the throne…

man her last scene was too BITTER to forget the taste of it… It was plain cruel. So disrespectful towards Meera's character :X If it was meant to be a final farewell, then why couldn't it be a normal one. I shudder to imagine how terrible she must have felt :(( I see people say that atleast see got to survive, but the fact is that this journey or the last moments with bran will always be part of her memory, this pain will not fade away easily.

S6 gave away the vibe that she will be part of the final battle. like they made Leaf tell her that " brandon stark needs you" i wonder if that was only meant for the dragging part, but she was going to do that anyways… then benjen wished BOTH of them good fortune for the upcoming war…

I love meera, she is very human and very real. I would desperately hope she gets a convincing closure, A normal separation would have been 'bittersweet' , but NOT THIS. not at all.

Howland and Meera should both be in Season 8 or that will be a mistake by D&D

If she did come back, I don't know what role she would play in the story. I hope she does because iv really enjoyed her character but I wont lose any sleep if she doesn't.

I don't think it's crucial to the story but I'd like to see Meera return and get some close in the form of a lot of damn gratitude. If Howland Reed isn't there at the Gods Eye then who will be there? Someone other than the COTF needs to be there. I'm not sure I trust the Children after what they did.

Would be great to see meera again next season, she's just another face people are familiar with wich can mean something when the great war happens…. people like familiarity in shows and it would just be cool to see her in a bit a different setting then were used to….. surviving north of the wall and such.
However, her character and howland's character don't have to be connected and if she is to be absent in season 8, howland reed can still show up so.

Is it possible that drogo can come back ? It might be nothing but, the actor that plays drogo has been taken pictures with the cast and crew,…. so you think he’ll come back ?????

I think we will see her again in season 8. And Howland Reed reappearing has to happen as well (in my opinion). It would be a shame if they don't show them at least one more time.

You share some of my thoughts…but i believe somehow that only Sam and Bran will have to confirm Jons parentage in him with making him to see Brans vision in the Tower of Joy[Jon could warg into the books as Bran and Arya do]in the show[Howland on the Books]..As for Meera ..she will return with the Reeds mens for to giving help in Jon/Danny in the battle and for to protect Bran during his warging into the NK or into NK ice dragon during the Last Battle…and die for him…What do you think?..I cant wait for your next prep foreshadowing vid no 33….

I'm not sure if many people that frequent your channel are history buffs or not, but all of George's characters and stories in GOT are mostly based off of historical monarchs, and lots of good stories there. I think you could make a ton of videos talking about the similarities. Highlight one character at a time and tell the crazy tidbits of history pertaining to each one. Might be something cool & interesting to do during the off season. I have seen a few, but not much really in depth.

what about a scene between howland reed, jon snow, jamie lannister and bronn. Jamie idolized sir arthur dayne and was trained by him so this could be an awesome scene where maybe jamie could swear fealty to house stark? maybe?

I hope Meera returns for the final season…although i wont be suprised at all if she doesnt. With only 6 episodes lefts and so much story to wrap up it would make sense if she doesnt return

I would be sad if we don't see Meera anymore and don't see howland. I think he has a role to play. No loose ends.

I was hoping that sword she picked up in the cave was Bloodraven's old sword, Dark Sister.

Neither will return. There's not enough time left for that. Anyways nobody will trust Reed as he's a crannogman and his family is generally looked down upon in the North. Nobody will believe him about Jon

Not getting a Howland Reed moment would be devastating. Hopefully Meera is just trolling us—that being her final final scene is weak imho.

Is it not possible that she already shot her scenes for Season 8 in Season 7 but got edited out on purpose? Hence, she's already been paid but we haven't seen the scene yet?

I guess they will use Bran to fill the gaps. But would be nice to hear and SEE Howland Reed. But reducing all to Bran's visions is too simplistic. I'm disappointed.😡

I bet we get a scene like the one where the Night King grabs Bran, but it's the children of the forest. In the gods eye Bran will go see what happened, but they will start talking to him, and he'll be like WTF. Then they explain his role in the defeat of the Night King.

Crazy theory. The children of the forest sacrifice all those greenseers to strengthen the Trees to allow Bran to appear in the Gods eye in the past. Then they tell Bran how to destroy the Night King.

I think he probably doesn't appear in the show, might just be too much to start at this point and his role is absorbed by somebody else. I actually don't think Jon being a Targ is that huge deal at this point, if he comes back it's likely just about the Night King and the children of the forest.

Meh. I wouldn’t care if Meera was in season 8 or not. Howland Reed would be someone interesting to see considering he is the only person living that saw Jon/Aegons secret from the start.

I don't think they use Howland Reed for Jon revelations, if he's in season 8 I think it's for exposition about the Three eyed raven. Howland has been hiding, but sent out his children to do the bidding of the Three eyed Raven, I think he has his own instructions from the Three eyed raven, just like Benjen.

Or she lied, or she signed an NDA, or she got an email or text, or they recast her character for whatever reason.
