  1. Creeps me out every minute. Never found him funny, just creepy and upsetting. His material always creeps to shady negative subjects. Sitting in a room with the Reservoir Dogs while wearing a wire is more pleasant than this dudes shows.

  2. Regarding the sexual harassment allegations. Just because one of his alleged accusers "clarified" and exonerated Louis C.K., who happens to have a lot of influence in the industry now and could probably kill a comedian's career, doesn't mean that it
doesn't merit scrutiny. I wonder after watching the episode of his TV show Louie titled Pamela part I with Pamela Adlon where he sexually assaulted Adlon's character.

"He forcibly tries to make her stay in his apartment and kiss him. He holds onto her, pulls up her shirt, holds the door shut, and finally makes her accept an unwanted kiss. She rejects him throughout." I'm no feminist by a long shot but that scene was extremely disturbing. The character clearly did not want to be physically intimate and yet Louie's character overpowered her physically to force her to kiss.

His responses to questions regarding the scene, in an interview with The Wrap, was pretty messed up.

“I don’t think you can call it rape, it was a kiss on the mouth." It wasn't rape, but what was depicted in the scene was most definitely sexual assault.

"C.K. said that the scene was supposed to represent his character “trying
to figure out what” was going on between him and Pamela." If that is even remotely an acceptable method of figuring things out, someone needs to go to therapy.

"“To me, it was like a tussle,” he elaborated. “I’m pulling her and she’s
pulling me away. We even thought it was funny when we tried it.”

"Adlon countered. She remembers raising a red flag. “When we got through the scene, I said I think we might be in trouble. Someone’s going to be mad,” the actress and writer said. She was right about people getting angry, but didn’t agree with the comparison to rape. “I didn’t’ feel like it was rape-y.”"

This does little to counter the growing view that the Entertainment industry is a cesspool of vile and degenerate people.

  3. Louis CK is not one of the world's recognizable comedians. Nobody knows him in Europe. Only those who are specifically into American stand-up know of him. Stop this silly American exceptionalism and naïveté.

  4. It's late October, 2017, a couple weeks into the Harvey Weinstein abuse revelation. Louis CK will likely stand as a kind of bellwether for how seriously Hollywood takes the problem of sexual abuse and harassment. I'm not saying Louis is guilty, but numerous allegations have been made over the years. He is right on the cusp of a return to Hollywood. The last batch of media stories alluding to Louis and sexual abuse predate Weinstein by weeks.

If Louis emerges unscathed or untouched, we'll know where Hollywood stands.

  5. He talks about rape quite a bit in his work (how it is normal), so the allegations are probably going to become to believed to be true (because they possibly are).

I've seen another comic do a bit about an "unnamed famous comic" attempting to rape someone, and for some reason I just assumed it was him even before hearing these allegations.

    Hey! Hey! Hey!
