FILM DESCRIPTION:
Industrial Light and Magic special-effects wizard Stefen Fangmeier makes the leap into the director’s chair with this coming-of-age fantasy concerning a young boy whose discovery of a mysterious dragon egg leads him on a predestined journey to become a Dragon Rider and defend his peaceful world against an evil king. I was not about to log in today but, I just had to comment on this whole scene. It was horrible, and completely far off from the book. I hadn't expected to come back to this being so bad. I suppose, this is what nostalgia does to you, I had this movie in decent memory.
But having read the books in recent years this was horrendous!! The worst movie to film adaption of all time. The movie for the shining was one of the worst book to film adaptations but at least the movie is great! The same can't be said for this movie.
Eragon is supposed to be hurt very badly and receive a scar stretching from his shoulder to hip because of Durza. He becomes a cripple thanks to Durza!!!! We are supposed to feel sorry for him and bad for what has happened. To deepen the bond between the audience and him. But, also thanks to Durza he is able to become even more powerful and be one of the strongest people in the book series. I'd say top three that is!

apart from the inaccuracy.. they make it look like a movie for children.. while the books are definitely not for kids.

Eragon would have actually turned to mince if Arya did not break the star, in order to kill Durza. But whoever made the movie was like:
"Nope! He is fabulous, he is a star, he should kill Durza on his own!"
Thranduil comes in "Did anybody say, fabulous? I AM THE TRUE FAIRY QUEEN! AND NONE SHALL BE MORE FABULOUS THAN ME!!" XD

Terrible writers for the movie I suppose… poor actors it's not their fault, they just do as they're told. Movie was just too cheesy (and this movie had some great actors in it that were just wasted). All while the book itself ironically was so much better than this crap. The movie is nice visually but yea the writing is a shame.

i read all of the inheritance series and yes the books are so much better then the movie but the movie was still great. i get chills every time i watch this scene.
the book was way better the movie had some stupid junk. what I saw on the movie is that it was like saphira died and eragon didnt know that she could use magic and there was suppose to a figure that eragon saw and that saphira, she was suppose to go to the place with Murtaugh and Arya

"we did it. Together." yeah, well, while its cute for the movie, and horrible for the books, the ending of the movie clearly shows the KING. The KING is the real enemy…Durza was a gumdrop! Eragon and saphira still has to defeat Galbatorix and Shruikan plus the armies. And possibly Murtagh…if he gets captured. So no, They didnt do it.

What is this? The fight was on the ground, inside Farthen Dûr. This is so inaccurate. The book was way better.

2 a broken spine.
3 a broken wing.
4 and a broken neck.
all this do to the high impact of the crash. and yes I noticed there was allot of sand she crashed in but still that force of a crash would be enough to really injure her.

I'd say that instead of a triology, there is someone somewhere who still didn't have the brilliant idea of making a tv seeries out of Paolini's Saga. There be money to be made, seriously.
