Winterfell receives the royal court, including King Robert Baratheon; his wife Queen Cersei; their three children: the heir Prince Joffrey, Princess Myrcella and the youngest Prince Tommen; as well as Cersei’s brother, Jaime Lannister, a member of the Kingsguard; and their younger brother, Tyrion Lannister, a dwarf known as “The Imp.”

  1. AS much as i love the show, i always found it odd that as King, Robert allowed all his closest non-Kingsguard soldiers and household cavalry to be Lannister soldiers, not Baratheon soldiers who fought for him when he was Lord of the Stormlands, and now King. He is always complaining that he is "surrounded by Lannisters"…..true, but you are the king, just send em away and bring in loyal Baratheon guards….big mistake.
This scene/the march to/from Winterfell, is the only one where you ever see Baratheon soldiers around him.
When he gets back to Kings Landing, Baratheon troops disappear.

  2. if NED now now about cerics, it would have been over in five min, they would have just kill her and her kids. and remember at winterfall there were far more of ned solder then jamies, and half of those would have follow the king.

  3. People before me have pointed out that the members of the Stark family King Robert touched all did not survive to last season, or even Season 6 for that matter.

But I only just realized how his compliments had some significance or irony:

Sansa: (You're a pretty one) gets linked to 4 different men and marries two of them.
Arya: (Your name is) Becomes, 'No One."
Bran: (You're be soldier) Becomes a cripple.
