Ratatouille underappreciated??? It won the Oscar for best animated feature film and also got nominated for 3 other Oscars. Cars only had 2 Oscar nominations, and the 2nd/3rd lowest critically rated Pixar movie ever, the sequel being rated the worst.
The only reason why Cars gets the "appreciation" is because it's a cash cow when it comes to selling merchandise. As a stand-alone film, anyone with actual taste in films, especially animated films, would always rate Ratatouille higher.
