WB are pussies for yielding to butthurt ego maniacs and regress from the original path to cater some generically moronic self designated movie experts' opinion on BvS. Seriously, f*** WB for trying to make DC like Marvel. Let Marvel have their formula which apparently works for them and stick to your own goddammit. I want to walk out of the theatre devasted by the shear weight of sorrows DC superheroes carry on their shoulders. It has to be dark. It needs to be dark. There's no other way. That was the whole point of bringing in the Dark Knight version of Batman. Robin is dead ! He is morally shattered inside and already has a brand new existential crisis because of Superman's presence but now here he is… giving comedic one liners. What the fuck???

Sounds like they grabbed the nearest scissors and just went to town snipping what they could to drop it down to two hours, WTF Thor Ragnarok was longer, why only two hours 😖 would have been better and not so disjointed.

I enjoyed the movie but my biggest issue and disappointment was that the main villian steppenwolf was all CGI and he looked too fake, almost felt like i was watching a video game, the dubbing was soo bad that his lips weren't moving at the same time, in the comics he's bad ass but in the movie he wasn't menacing enough and looked too fake

I want the Zack Snyder version of the movie. I don't care if it's four hours. Just means a few extra beers while watching. I personally like the dark overtone of BVS extended version. The only people that dont like it are the ones who have never read the comics or watched the animation version of all this.

WB should let their directors do their thing, and if the movie fails then at least we know what to do with the director. Not letting Snyder complete his vision meant that now Zack is not responsible for the diminished box office and now it’s all on the studio.

To much controversial items attached to this film. 8 think to pay respect to the time dedicated by Zack and Debbie on the DC universe while the tragedy of their daughter robbed them of better spent time with family, they need to release Zack vision.

Steppenwolf's ultimate goal to defeat Darkseid, and not just be a harbinger of death, would have been awesome. it would have added a much needed depth to the character, and something we have not really experienced yet with villains. Usually, Villains are just some who are in direct conflict with the heroes. Here, he would be villain who wanted a death match with another villain, but during his journey, he comes across the heroes.

Not that I don't believe this–it strikes me as very convincing, intuitively. But what are the sources for this information? This is a lot of detailed information about what got left out or cut, and it sounds like someone in the know shared what was going on.

Superman saying “do you bleed” was part of the reshoot..you can see it in his cgi face. Everything else was part of Zack Snyder’s cut in terms of his resurrection. Mostly when Superman talks when fighting the league, those were part of the reshoots.
