There have been LOTS of theories circulating the internet when it comes to Bran Stark and I explore the one that MOST interests me.

Is Bran Stark, The Lord of Light? Some signs point to yes!

Do you think I have some good points? Do you disagree? Either way, I want to hear YOUR theories and arguments in the comments!

  1. Interesting thing said by master luwin in the first season.

"sometimes I think you are too smart for your own good"

Can really be an important point now with all his knowledge. Too much knowledge can be destructive and you can analyse things at far too deep level.

  2. hm

a song of ice and fire

    brandon is a stark-ice
    jon is a targaryen-fire

i used to think that it would be jon vs daenerys since we thought jon was a stark but now im thinking the ending might be jon vs bran

  3. Why would he try to alter the past when he can only stay there for so long, its not like he can go to the past and fix things and then live life up to that point again and the events have a different outcome. Bran was not even born when the mad king was alive. Why would he try to warn a king that is already dead and is not able to help with the current events with the white walkers??? Unless Bran is all of the Bran's from the past and he has been doing this shit for years and this version of bran is just not aware of that fact yet. I use the word "fact" very loosely because this don't even sound like it is possible. Why would bran be the antagonist when it is pretty clear that the white walkers are the biggest threat, they did not build the wall to keep out "Bran". I think bran's "Sight" into the past is just a way to reveal certain unknown elements of the story like the linage of his not-so-half-brother. He is just a way for the story to verify certain events that can no longer verifiable because the people or persons who new the truth are dead.

  4. Melissandra at some point in the last season stops hearing the lord of light. Can't remember if this is before or after the 3 eyed raven dies. If this happens after, it could confirm some parts of the video.

  5. Bran is now bound to the old "after therefore because of" trope that everyone from Bill & Ted to Denzel have had memorable fun with in the past. Hodor was beta testing but Bran is 'God' and has had to spread-bet his actions across all time and space, how people interpret his actions is on them. Flames and trees are one thing, but the drowned god and the faceless god could also be bran consequences. the ripple effect of what he has to do to save the day will always have horrific casualties… He's also the three eyed Raven and tied to that loop so we already know he dies at Winterfell which is nice, and technically with Hodor and Summer, Also nice, and it kinda makes up for the beta testing door holders tragic end… he will be turned surely.

Bran could also be the nights king for all we know or most likely none of the above, just a silly little boy who gets people killed and can't see past his starkly superiority complex. if it's explainable it's possible.

  6. Wow… just waaaay too much to read, so I'll try to be concise
Old Three Eyed Raven = Brann… and he knows everything that needs to happen for the story to end well, even allowing young Brann to screw it up every now an then
Brann the Builder = Brann Stark, and he's the one instructing people in the past to build the Wall, and the Great Library, an other stuff.. prepping up pieces like a chess player
The Night King = Great Great Great (…) Stark dude. Same blood as Brann, that's why he has the inner power to uphold the magic and become the Night King — probably had his wife pregnant when he became Night King, and the wife gave birth to the Stark Lineage. Maybe he was the one who was suppose to be the Lord of Light, but he would mess all up… and now Brann took the mantle and will fix this…
Jon "Targeryen-Stark" Snow + Daenerys Targaryen = Both will join forces to defeat the Night King, and merry (to keep blood-line pure) and live happily ever after… because that's what GoT all about.. ha :).. but they'll end up together

And we WILL have a new scene with Sean Bean talking to Brann in the cells before he gets his head on a spike… because it would be mean to leave him off the saga finale… Sorry, I'm a Ned Stark fan and Sean did an amazing job there

Or…. maybe the Night King will win… and Winter will be forever here 😉
