  1. False. A 10gb file will take longer to get there than a 10mb file. With net neutrality the bits travel at the same speed not the files. Your analogy of the coffee cup and envelope is flat out wrong I don’t know how else to say it.

  2. who can assure you that it will not hit this or ben shapiro's channel either?
Should the neutrality fall, there is no channel, no website or anything safe from censorship.
If, for example, the US government or the EU Commission does not fit in with what is common, that's what it was for!
We in Europe had that between 1934 and 1945
In this globalized world, it does not matter where on the planet you are!

  3. Usually I agree with these two…but wow they missed the point…you can ONLY compare mail delivery service to networking when explaining the FUNDAMENTALS of networking. You can't use it in this context.

To put it simply and using your dumb logic:

Comcast has their own streaming service you have to pay for as well. If Netflix is their direct competition for streaming platform then they can now throttle the packets going to Netflix and cause buffering so that people prefer Comcast's. How..do two smart indivituals not get this? You guys let me down..Ben and Crowder..

  4. The issue of Net Neutraility is a government fix to a government-created problem. Comcast is the biggest cable and internet provider in the country with 30% of the country only having access to Comcast. Why? Comcast comes into a rural area, offers a great deal to the area for laying cable and creating a network for being the exclusive provider in that area. AT&T has been trying to get into my area with internet for years but always gets turned down. I live close to Chattanooga and it took the Electric Power Board becoming an ISP before that city had more than one option. And Comcast sued and delayed that for years in court before they lost.

  5. Would someone please explain the nickname 'not gay Jarred" – Is it because eveyone's always asking if he's gay….sarcasm because he is gay….I'm not sure what's going on with that

  6. To me, a conservative, I support the Constitution. But the Constitution doesn't talk about the internet. So I support freedom. I want small government. But for certain things we need the government. Murder. Rape. Robbery. We need net neutrality. Net neutrality is a rare case where many can agree a regulation promotes freedom. It doesn't require anyone to DO anything. It PREVENTS people from doing something that limits free speech. That's why it is overwhelmingly supported by both sides.

  7. The housewife/mother plays such a crucial part in kids development. We need our mothers! It's easy to see how women can feel like it's shallow work, doing housework, cooking, and raising kids, never bring able to devote all their energy to a single pursuit, but nobody has nearly as much impact on the lives and development of children. I think mothers have always found huge gratification in seeing their kids grow into well balanced, compassionate, successful people. What could be more important than that? Mothers are singly capable of nurturing the emotional development of human beings. I don't buy into the idea that men have never appreciated this role. I know as a man I have a love and appreciation of my mother that is innate. There have always been bad apples among men but I know that men hundreds of Years ago loved their women and knew they played a crucial role in making a family work and in raising healthy kids.

  8. ok man. im sorry but you are wrong here. Honestly, with net neutrality you didnt even come close to explaining it. net neutrality keeps ISP's from throttling things. It also keeps ISP's from giving Bandwidth priority to companies that pay more. SO as a better example. without net neutrality Netflix, google, amazon, can go to an ISP, pay them a premium to make it so that they have priority on their lines. What this does is actually strangle small businesses. if you are a small competitor the larger company can pay money to make it so the small guy wont get any speed. what happens when you go to a website that is slow as hell? you dont go to it again. without net neutrality you will hurt small online companies.

For instance Blizzard not to long ago sued comcast because they were throttling bandwidth to their services and were instead giving the bandwidth to different companies. even though the people using blizzards services (world of warcraft) were comcast customers. its almost like telling people they cant do what they want with the service they paid for but instead have to use the one comcast wants them to use because those services paid money to get comcast to make you go there.
