my favorite is Wun Wun
Rip
I'm two inches above five feet tall. I'd look the height of literally a fourth grade child compared to him!
Hey! That's how I look standing next to my 5'9" husband. XD
The original actor looked like he fit the part the most because he looked the most evil. This guy definitely should never have played him because it just doesn't work. But since the mountain doesn't need to say anything but just look huge and kill people, its best that Hafthor is the mountain
He looks like john turturro.
he also plays the tree that brandon stark falls off.
l oooove gregor!!!
now he is wunwun
Haftfor had to be the best, 6ft 7, breaks 1000 year old weightlifting records, he literaly is a mountain
The perfect Mountain would be Hafthor's body, Conan's face, and Ian's voice.
*he
I hate him, eh killed oberyn😡😂!but oberyn was silly !! It was His folt!!😄😂👍
The first gregor was the best. He was not just insanely tall and strong, but facially he looked like a really scary emotionless brute.
Ian was tall enough and strong enough, but he didnt quite look like a mountainous thoughtless killing machine like the first one did. everyone says he isnt big enough, but thats just because of his awful armor design; He had no arm or shoulder armor.
The third Gregor looks a bit too much like he has downsyndrome.
It must be hard playing a character that Is a murdering, rapist animal.
i wonder if they asked the Big Show. I think he'd be phenomenal assuming he can act even a little bit
He's more like the Tree that Rides.
The original mountain was more suited in my opinion.
This guy is so fit its ridiculous! He looks so fit as the predator and the engineer in Prometheus 🙂
Give us back the original Gregor 🙁 this guy the used in season 2 and 3 is to skinny :/
I don't find tall people intimidating at all. Dwarfs are scarier to me D:
SPOILER QUESTION SPOILER QUESTION SPOILER QUESTION
I haven't read the books, but I know of The Mountain's (probably) upcoming fight in Season 4, when he's Tyrion's champion after the latter is accused of murdering Joffrey. Would that be his death scene? Or is it atleast in the books?
He's been my neighbour for nearly 10 years. And how many people know he has a wife and a 3 year old kid
The first the Mountain in season 1 was great he did when to the HOBBIT movie but he wrote on twitter account that he was avaiable to do Season 2 in GOT it was Game of throne who change the actors.
He's my neighbour and he has a right temper on him. I've heard him plenty of times screaming at his wife and kid.
He seems like a very nice guy, but I'm so glad The Mountain was recast for Season 4 because Ian Whyle was seriously miscast as The Mountain.
I dont remember seeing this guy at all…
But guys… check out the new guy playing Gregor Clegane! Actor Hafthor Julius Bjornsson, he looks like he'll play the part excellent! I wish they would have cast this guy from the beginning! I really hope he gets some screen time other than just his battle with Oberyn Martell.
You're insane… this dude just seems like a bumbling giant, not a brutal, emotionless rapist/murderer filled with rage and hatred. The first actor (Conan Stevens) pulled that off great, he looked meaner and he was built more like I picture Clegane. This guy is tall but way too skinny and not even built.
I agree.
Its funny how this guy talks about it being difficult to play his character because he has to pretend he has no emotions, how it's this and that… and the dude has less than 5 minutes of screen time.
I wish they would have kept the original actor and gave Clegane a lot more time in the show. He's a great character to hate… almost as much as Joffery.
well, they´ve recasted him twice already. first, when he shows up, you don´t know right in that moment it´s gregor, you find out very soon, but it already confuses you and you can miss something important. second, do they really consider us that dumm to think we don´t see gregor is played by different actor everytime we see him? show that cares about details so much (details on dress, actual message in letters, text in books we can´t even see) and they don´t bother with this…
1:35 "He's a rapist, he's a killer, he's a child-murderer." Huh. Hint, hint.
Met him on Saturday at scream con, nice bloke.
Gregor is a realistic knight.
I'm going to miss this guy in season 4
He's too nice to play gregor.. :I
Nothing against Ian but I wish they would have stuck the the same actor for Ser Gregor throughout the whole series. It helps the story telling and allows the audience to really build up a hatred for that character
number 12
this actor ian whyte once was a proffesionell basketballplayer and played in belgium for okapiaalstar !!! amazing isn t it!!!! check this site wwwokapiaalstarbe and go to team (classic) year 1997 /98
This guy isn't near as bulked up as the original dude. Most viewers didn't even make the connection when they saw him in s2.
He's good as "The Mountain", but I prefer the first one, Conan Stevens. Great interview anyway 🙂
You guys are nuts. His recast was perfect. This guy is fucking monstrous. He played the last engineer in prometheus. Which is the best movie ever made. And now he's playing the scariest knight/soldier in the best book series/TV show ever made. The original mountain wasn't nearly frightening enough.
What are all you whingers on about. New gregor hasn't even had a line has he? He has just sat there with Tywin… Did he really screw up sitting on the chair that bad? he looked the part to me.
