  1. Scott definitely shouldn't have ended up with knives: they clearly had opposing personalities and not very many common interests. Knives was just a confused teenager. Even though Ramona was kind of a bad person (and even left Scott for a few months without telling him where she was going in the comics) Scott was also a fairly bad person, and the two of them made a good pair. I'd have even been happy with Scott ending up with either Kim or Lisa, but never with knives. It was also important character development for her to move on.

  2. I don't know I really like him ending up with Ramona. It helps Knives grow through healthily learning to deal with rejection, and Scott and Ramona clearly both want to help each other grow and become better. That's what him taking her hand symbolizes, that she doesn't have to improve alone.

  3. He's right, the movie didn't do the comic book justice. Scott was a much more likable character in the comics.

But I still. Loved. This movie. Edgar Wright is an underappreciated genius.

  4. What the fuck dude why do you think being with a needy 17 year old is true love? That's just weird when somebody likes you in such a needy disingenuous way. Knives loved the idea of being with a cool bassist in a band, not Scott himself. Scott doesn't even have the self esteem to understand why knives wants him. But you're calling his relationship with Ramona toxic? Knives is fucking 17, winger wrote a song about this shit. Being in your 20's and dating a high schooler is fucking creepy. The fact that you think "Scott didn't deserve her"(I've seen a lot of needy guys say that) makes me think you either have a warped view of how relationships work or this weird infatuation with your unrequited high school love story that never happened. Knives acted like a kid, because she was one. Crazy that you find that attractive. Ok I'm done ranting about some shit that doesn't have any bearing on real life. The movie was awesome and the characters were REAL(people irl aren't all nice bubbly cartoon characters). Scott got girls because he had the balls to approach them and be persistent about meeting up with them. most guys can't even do the former.
