In Star Wars, why do we care that Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker’s father? Luke was still raised by his uncle. He never even knew his dad. Why does it matter that his father, a complete stranger, has a different story than he thought?

Well obviously because despite Luke’s fathers literal absence in his life, Luke always wanted to be like his father

Luke’s mentality touches on one of the most power motivators in people’s lives and also one of the most misunderstood. And that’s why In this video I want to dive into how Luke was destined to become Vader, how Kylo Ren is destined to become more like Han Solo and how your relationship with your father shapes your destiny, not just in the Star Wars universe, but in life. Because it affects you more than you probably realize, And it doesn’t matter whether you think your dad was a good guy OR a bad one.

Also, spoilers through Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens coming – some speculation into episode 8: The Last Jedi though I don’t have any advanced knowledge

  1. Yessssssssss please amazing video! Mind blown speechless. As a woman we go through this as well. Once I learn that hey my parents are human and make mistakes like I will make mistakes hope someone could forgive me. It's been amazing!

  2. I'm ambitious and I get angry and pissed off mad easily every time I don't get something right on the first try. So is my dad and I think he already understood that and frequently used that to his advantage to teach me a new skill, e. g. driving, boxing, etc. I think he knows which buttons to push to teach me something fast, even though that results in me getting angry for a bit. I find it really interesting too that you're mentioning guys inheriting their father's traits, since I'm a transgender guy. Anyways, this is where things start to get complicated for me, since we're both stubborn as hell, he never really came to terms with me wanting to transition and vehemently denies it.

  3. Philosophical videos are good. They help us to understand the reasons behind why we do what we do and therefore we can create or own techniques for how to change our behaviours if the ones you give don't work for us, or if we just want to go deeper. Keep them coming 👌

  4. What if you highly dislike your father and feel no respect or attachment towards him but you are still able to accept the objective truth that you will inevitable take on some of his behaviors?
My father was a lazy, drunk piece of thrash and the older I grow the more I can feel my filthy genes take over my intent to never ever be anything like him. I wonder how this will end.
