Twas the week before the week before Christmas, and all through the house, people were laughing at goofy stuff Game of Thrones cast members did, like when Nikolaj Coster-Waldau went on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and played a terrifying elf that sat on a bannister and frightened young children with stories about severed hands and red weddings. Here’s that:

“Lannister on bannisters” is just a stupid enough pun to work. I love it forever.
Over on YouTube, we check in with steve as he continues his out-of-order journey through the Game of Thrones. At this point, his gimmick of watching random episodes one at a time so as to maximize his confusion has worn a little thin since he’s now seen enough of the series to piece together what’s happening no matter which episode he watches. But he’s still a funny guy, and when he watches an episode as good as season 6’s “The Winds of Winter,” you don’t need a gimmick to be entertaining:
Finally, reader Austin sent in a hilarious video where his grandfather, a big Game of Thrones fan who’s seen every episode and even read the Song of Ice and Fire books, is asked to name several of the characters. Let’s watch.
Daenerys = Queen Daiquiri
Tyrion = Tyrone
Littlefinger = Pennypincher
Varys = Fat stuff
Catelyn = “She was killed at that red party.”
And of course: “That’s Cersei. She’s a bitch.” This guy’s the best. Thanks, Austin!
