What’s up ladies and gentlemen welcome back for another Game of Thrones Season 8 Theory. In today’s video I discuss a few reasons why I think Beric Dondarrion will save The Hound’s life. They have kept Beric alive for all these years although he sacrificed his life for Catelyn Stark’s in the books. Beric Dondarrion gave Catelyn Stark The Last Kiss but he has yet to reveal this power in the show. I believe they are saving it as a big reveal in the final season and who better to save it for then The Hound? Lord Beric Dondarrion has had this connection with The Clegane’s ever since this story started and I think this connection will continue until the end. The Show has taken this character’s story in a new direction and I believe this is ultimately why. Let me know your thoughts on this. Thanks for watching!

I agree that Beric Dondarrion has been kept alive multiple times by the Lord of Light for a reason. However I believe that Beric will bring Jon Snow back to life rather than Sandor Clegane. I do like your suggestion as well as long as Jon does not need any help. Nice analysis and interesting video. Thanks.

Nice one, Dan. I've always thought Beric would give the Last Kiss to Arya (who he knows and is the Lady Stoneheart substitute), Jon, Bran, or Sandor. You've made a VERY strong case for Sandor. I hope it happens…as long as the first three live. BTW, absolutely loving your partnership with Gray Area.
It would make some sense to see him bring the hound back. Or if the show wanted to introduce Lady Stoneheart as a late game character they still could if Sansa or Arya dies in the Northern war. In turn "Lady Stoneheart" could kill Cersei. Just a thought.
I completely agree with everything that you said….Beric and Tormond will both be in season 8…I don't think that they will necessarily live to the end , but , there's got to be a reason that we didn't see either one die last season. I’ve been loving your podcasts with grayarea lately so to get another video, let alone a Hound centered video, was a lovely surprise! I didn’t realize the Bertic was recasted and now this makes sooo much more sense. I’m so happy that the Hound’s significance as a character continues to grow. I was hoping Sandor’s ~last kiss~ would be with Sansa 😉 lmao but I think the idea of Beric giving his life for Sandor would be mind blowing.

Perfect! It'd be very cool to see the Hound realize how he came back to life. I really like the Hound. He's another character, like Jamie, that I could not stand previously but like now.
Beric is one of the most honorable men in all of Westeros. I will be so, so sad when he eventually is killed off. 😔

Great video. It makes incredible sense. It's almost like fate is making them cross paths time and time again, keeping Dondarrion close to Sandor for the moment of need. That basically makes the lord of light the biggest fan of the Cleganebowl.

I could totally see Sandor using heart's bane to kill the mountain. Isn't thier an old saying about mountains and their hearts? Seems like a good plot to me!
I completely agree about the connection with Beric and the Clegan bros. It's definitely possible but I tend to lean on the idea that Jon is going to get killed again and that's where Beric uses The Last Kiss. Then because you lose a part of yourself each time you die and come back…maybe Jon will be able to get past the headtrip of loving Daenerys. Thoughts?

I think it would be cool if Beric gives the last kiss to the Night King. The Night King actually comes to life for the Hound to kill him for good. You thoughts make more sense. Just wishful thinking on my part.

I thought that Beric will give the Kiss to Daenerys. If you look at Jon und her Storyline, you can see the parallels between them. (Just watch Zurik23m's Video about Dany and Jon)
Since their storyline is so equal, maybe Dany has to die also, in a very shocking way on the Battlefield. And Beric will bring her back, and say something like that: "You need her now more than me, you need the dragons."
