Music is “The Bear and the Maiden Fair Instrumental (S4E02 – The Lion and the Rose)”:

I’m sorry about the background noise. When I heard this version of “The Bear and the Maiden Fair” it felt like a perfect soundtrack for Arya and Sandor’s journey, and it kind of inspired me to make this video. Unfortunately, the only version available includes background noise from Joffrey’s wedding. I hope you enjoy it anyway.

  1. This was one of the best dynamics on any television series I have ever seen. They complemented each other so well and were paired at a time when they needed each other the most.

Arya had lost her father and had a desire to kill people on her list. The Hound filled this role as a father and taught her many lessons with surviving and killing.

The Hound no longer had a sense of purpose after leaving his duties and he never really knew his sister. Arya was like a sister or daughter to him and gave him purpose in protecting her.

And it is great how Arya kept telling the Hound she would kill him and he just kinda stares at her and shrugs it off. When they part, it is heartrending. He is still looking out for her by giving her some last lessons and regretting he can't keep protecting her. Can't wait for season 8.
