You're not really explaining the full theory behind Majoras Mask though. It's because Link went into the Lost Forest without a fairy, thus ending up as a Stalfos. As his mind is deteriorating he conceptualize this world to come to terms with his death, going through the five stages of grief.
The number 1 theory is wrong. Just because MatPat did it doesn't mean its true. The Hero of Twilight has been confirmed to be a blood descendant of the Hero of Time, and while adults lost in the Lost Woods turn to Stalfos, children turn into Skull Kids. This means that Link cannot have died a child.
