Welcome back for another Game of Thrones Season 8 Theory Video. Today’s video is slightly different than my regular videos. In this one I will be presenting a theory that someone sent to me via email. I have no idea who originally created this theory but there is a link down below with the full article about it. I thought this was a very interesting and fresh take for when it comes to the final twist in Game of Thrones. We learned a very significant detail about the White Walkers in the Beyond the Wall Episode. It appears that when you defeat the leader their followers will fall too. Stop the Night King and his Army will fall. Seems simple enough right? Or is it…? There may be a catch to this theory. Defeating the Night King could have some dire consequences for the Stark family if this theory is right. I think it may be a stretch but I wanted to see what you have to say about this anyway. Let me know what you think. Thanks for watching!

Hold on jhon snow is not a stark
When beyond the Wall in S7 E6 and Beric points to the Night King encouraging Jon to kill him, Jon sort of declines and “you don’t understand.” What did he mean by this? May fit in with your theory TT….
Dany dies being both AA and Nissa. She defeats the Nights king but dies sacrificing herself, Jon is the TPTWP. And restores everything after .. Not very hard to know what's going to happen..
Bran is the Night King and inorder to kill the Night King… John will have tp kill Bran…
Too far fetched.
this one is in the tin foil hat catagory
I would be sooooo disappointed if this happened but thanks for the info. 🙂
Hmmm is Arya really Ned’s daughter?
This theory would be straight up tragedy, not bittersweet… I'm thinking it's a L O N G shot at best.
i don't think that's the last shocking scene. In fact George RR Martin told David and Dan that there are 3 major and important shocking scenes: 1) Shirreen's death 2)Hodor's origins and the 3rd in the last season. BUT if my memories are correct, the Night King does not exist in the books. So how can the last shocking scene be linked with the NK ?
What about hardhome? One of the white walkers tried to kill jon then. If the night king recognises jon then why send one of his lieutenants to kill jon?
When Beric tells Jon that Jon also says … you don't understand! what does Jon know about the Night King he isn't telling anyone ??????
Jon will die when all of the magic dies, because he's only alive due to magic. I've been saying this ever since Jon died the first time.
I am so exciting to explore the story of man who became the Night king?
Can you tell me what is the two twisted major moments in the last series?
Regards
I hope this theory is not true. After all whats happening in the real world I want to see a happy ending for the Starks in GOT world.
For me only dying of john will be shocking…for other who care’s…valar morghulis
So u say, if Jon kills the leader then all the others will die. But why didnt that happen when Jon FIRST fought the Wight at Hardhome? There wasnt any of the white walkers who diminished in the background. And if this is so, how come when he did kill that Wight, all but ONE survived for them to take it back to Cersie for proof? Im just wondering. I mean it sounds great but what about these questions?
Ok, here goes: if this parallels the War of the Roses, both the Lancasters (Lanisters) and the Yorks (Starks) were ultimately defeated and an relative outsider – a Tudor – was crowned – Henry VII. The Tudors ruled for a very long time.
So, if the parallel holds true, who is this outsider?
Interesting theory about Stark being related to Night King which I have heard before. That the Starks will die if Jon or whoever kills the NK is far out there and fans would not like this so D&D probably will not go with this. You have the best GoT channel, along with Secrets of the Citadel.
I find it a bit hard to believe. So far, we have not been given any evidence in the show to suggest that NK is magically behind creating the Stark line. This is one of the primary conditions that has to be made to establish this sort of magical connection – it clearly states that he created WW , raised the wights etc, so there is strong logic behind them all dying if NK falls. However, there has been no such thing established yet with the Starks. Let's say for arguments sake they are indeed related and he is one of their ancestors who has been around since like forever (or whatever). There is still no real loical explanation why killing him should make all other Starks drop dead. I do believe they have a strong relationship of sort dating to the past, which may probably even hold the key to destroying him once and for all, just as well as I believe they will suffer losses and have to pay the price to win, but I find this particular theory just too lacking and leaves me wanting tbh.
I believe the last big “shock” will have to do with Tyrion. There has to be more to his story. So much foreshadowing about his parentage; what if his mother didn’t die in childbirth, but instead was murdered by Tywin upon learning that Tyrion is another man’s son? There are lots of possibilities. Season 8 will reveal all…Remember the last “shock” they said was coming was something every fan knew: R = L +J. Maybe it’s something obvious? Your videos are awesome, TT
I hope this doesn't happen I would be so totally pissed!
dude i have no idea what the final result will be but this is a great one. thanks for conveying
Could the night King raise the long dead and buried people south of the wall? Including the people buried in the crypts?
That could make is army millions large.
I think it's a great theory. One, I believe also that GRRM has some huge twist up his sleeve. Something we haven't even imagined. So I will be prepared for a shocker. I also think that in order to kill the Night King, Jon will have to destroy somebody or someone. If not all the Starks, maybe Bran. Bran seems to have some connection to the Night King. They may even be one in the same. To destroy the Night King forever may mean to destroy Bran. And of course it will be a horrible conflicting moment. And like others, I think this all takes place at the Gods Eye.
It's still kind of pisses me off that the show is going on vampire diary rules. It just irks me a little bit that's all I wanted something a little more dramatic not the whole Kill The Sire all the fledglings dyeable ship I love the show I just wish they weren't working on Vampire Diaries rules.
The fans would kill grrm if they did that.
This theory made no sense to me. Because: why all the Starks will die because they have only the same bloodline? And if the Nightking was a Stark…they are no "magical" connection to the living (that include the Starks who live). Possible Bran was connected to the Nightking…that makes for me more sense. There are several indicators in the show to proof that theory more. When the Nightking dies…Bran also die. But all the Starks? I don't see that coming.
Jon snow die ant the end. Not die again, just when the night king get killed the lord of light has complished his missions, so all revived gona stay dead again.
What do you think if Jon's baby will die if he kills the night king. Do you think Jon will spare the nights king life because of his child with Danny?
What if the reason the night king has moved toward war is because there wasn’t a stark in winterfell therefore breaking the pact? If the starks and the night king share lineage maybe there’s something to hold the seat of power in winterfell. It’s a stretch but hmm
Garbage idea
Well. I've got an idea. What is Dany becomes a night's queen and have babies with the night king, thus giving birth to the song and son of ice and fire ? It's a crazy theory, but. who knows?
It's simple the prince that was promised will end the war. Only thing is promise does not mean a prince that fights but a baby the night king was promised a special baby johns and danny's.
The only theory i feel is true, is that Melesandre is Nissa-Nissa. Her whole life she been looking for the Prince Promised to kill her to bring Lightbringer to life.
What if by killing the night king he will become the next one?
