Game Of Thrones star Nathalie Emmanuel has pinned a number of adjectives to the show’s eighth and final season, promising higher stakes and a heightened pace.
The 29-year-old actress, who plays Missandei, delved into what we can expect from next year’s highly anticipated final six episodes.
Speaking to the Hindustan Times, Emmanuel said: ‘I think what we can expect from the final season of GoT is just a real push.
‘Like in the last couple of seasons, we have seen the pace of the show increase with the stakes getting higher and higher. There are so many storylines that have to come to a conclusion. We have to play them out, so the pace of the show is continuing on that sense.’
She added: ‘There are so many characters and stories that haven’t found their conclusion. So, this season is going to be incredibly satisfying for people.
‘It is going to be incredibly exciting and heartbreaking. I feel like people will have their mind blown when they watch the final one.’
While a pretty textbook hype-drive response, we’ll happily take any tease to drum up excitement.
Emmanuel previously spoke to Metro.co.uk about the final season, saying the show’s ending will not be ‘rushed’ in light of season seven criticism.
The show’s eighth season was recently confirmed to be airing in the ‘first half’ of 2019, with a concrete release date yet to be announced.
