The award for Best Drama Series instantly made the cast of Game Of Thrones a class of Emmy winners on Monday night.
But the award for cutest actor goes to Kit Harington for saying that the best thing about GoT has always been wife Rose Leslie.
The Jon Snow actor adorably said that meeting his other half of the set of the fantasy series changed his life and shaped his family in the future, and for that he’ll always be grateful.
Speaking after the win, Kit told UsWeekly: ‘I met my wife in this show, so in that way it gave me my future family, and my life from here on in.
‘It’s been the most amazing thing, so it’s changed it completely, obviously.’
Kit and Rose married in Scotland in June after meeting on the Game Of Thrones set four years ago.
Keeping it in the family, co-stars Peter Dinklage, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams and Emilia Clarke were among the wedding guests.
Rose joined the cast in season two to play Ygritte, while Kit was a show original.
Aside from the top drama prize of the night, Game Of Thrones also won in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
Peter Dinklage, who plays Tyrion, beat co-star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau to the win.
Game Of Thrones fans are still waiting for the eighth and final season – and writer David Benioff knows it’s taking a ‘f**king long time’.
‘It’s the biggest thing we’ve ever done,’ he said at the Emmys on Monday.
‘No-one’s going on vacation or slacking off, it’s just that last season is far beyond what we’ve ever attempted before, and it is taking a really f**king long time – and I hope it will be worth it.’
