Game of Thrones season eight is gearing up to be one of the television events of 2019.
The showâs final season promises to be one of the best yet, and itâll certainly feature bigger and better action than previous seasons.
However, it looks like a plot hole in season seven may have been revealed involving Ser Davos (played by Liam Cunningham).
In season seven, Davos seemed to warm to Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel), even though she only really has eyes for Grey Worm (Jacob Anderson).
However, Davos still has a wife somewhere, and yet the script seems to forget that fact.
The script reads: âDavos sighs, watching Missandeiâ.
Then later on in the episode, the two characters talk again, and the script reads: âDavos smiles. Jon gives him an âEasy you old pervâ lookâ.
Davos asks Missandei about her past, and she reveals she was a slave, and the script reveals how awkward the moment was.
Itâs not entirely clear whether Davos was genuinely interested in Missandei, or whether he was just trying to be amicable.
That said, the script clearly indicates what Jon Snow (Kit Harington) believes Davosâ intentions are.
âThey get another chance at a family. This time with no one standing in their way.â
Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), later deduces Cerseiâs secret and she is apparently taken aback by his astuteness.
The script makes it clear that Tyrion finding out wasnât part of her plan.
âTyrion sees what he sees and knows what it means,â the script reveals.
âHe can hardly believe it, but knows it to be true. [. . .] She stays silent for too long, long enough to tell him that heâs right. And once she knows he knows, she can think of nothing else to say.â
Game of Thrones season eight returns to HBO Spring 2019, and the prequel is expected to debut a year later in 2020.
