A conversation cut from Game of Thrones may prove to be Daenerys’ downfall (Picture: HBO)

Daenerys Targaryen could be about to walk straight into the worst mistake of her life by trusting Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones, as one missing scene from season seven may have sealed her downfall.

Daenerys and Tyrion’s alliance began to fray as she grew closer to Jon Snow, but one fan has noticed that a telling conversation – or lack of – between the Hand of the Queen and his sister could be an indication that there’s a burning plot to take down the Mother of Dragons from the inside.

Ranker noticed that after Cersei confirmed her pregnancy to Tyrion, the dialogue was cut short. Next thing, Cersei has suddenly declared her public support for the North but we didn’t actually see what unfolded beforehand, which may imply the siblings are plotting against Daenerys.

What’s more, just moments earlier, Tyrion let his mask slip when he shamelessly held his hands up to being a master of deceit to Jon Snow.

‘Have you ever considered learning how to lie every now and then? Just a bit?’ he grinned.

And Cersei may have hinted at a sneaky clue to Jaime Lannister when he, like everyone else, was stunned to hear his sister, and lover, take a drastic U-turn to call a truce with Dany.

‘I always knew you were the stupidest Lannister,’ she snarled. But was she implying that he was a fool for not clocking on to her plan sooner?

However, there is a glaring issue here: Tyrion and Cersei are mutually repulsed by one another so what on earth would he have to gain?

Well, there’s nothing more powerful than a broken heart, with leaked season seven scripts confirming Tyrion is definitely in love with Daenerys, who is now sleeping with her nephew and looks likely to fall pregnant with his child in season eight.

And in the A Song of Ice and Fire books, a detailed prophecy warns Daenerys she will be betrayed ‘once for love’.

It revealed: ‘Three fires must you light… one for life and one for death and one to love…

‘Three mounts must you ride… one to bed and one to dread and one to love…

‘Three treasons will you know… once for blood and once for gold and once for love.’

While you try and take all that in, Game of Thrones fans are still debating if Daenerys’ dragons are actually dragons after realising that they strike a closer resemblance to the mythical creature, wyverns.

George RR Martin actually did set the record straight in Fire And Blood, but that appears to have been overlooked.

Game of Thrones returns to HBO and Sky Atlantic in April 2019.
