Now that Ben Affleck is officially done with the Batman role in the DC Extended Universe, and Henry Cavill’s fate as Superman remains uncertain, fans are already trying to find the best replacement for the role of the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel on the big screen. Many fans have pointed to Mad Men star Jon Hamm has been mentioned as a great choice for either roles and now another contender has entered the fan casting ring, Game of Thrones star Kit Harrington.
The exciting image comes from artist Evan Pennock on Instagram. The art uses the Superman costume from the video game Injustice 2 and uses Kit Harrington’s face to create a very different kind of Superman than what fans have seen on the big screen before. Fans have been begging for a Man of Steel sequel starring Henry Cavill ever since the aforementioned first film hit the big screen in 2013. Unfortunately, no sequel has been announced just yet but the actor did make his return in two additional films as the Man of Steel, 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and 2017’s Justice League. Henry Cavill hasn’t officially stepped down from the role just yet. That being said, he hasn’t been officially announced to be appearing in any of the upcoming DCEU films including Shazam!, Birds of Prey, Joker, or Matt Reeves’ untitled Batman film. Although his DCEU future is uncertain, Cavill will next be seen in the Netflix series The Witcher.
Kit Harrington will next be seen in the final season of Game of Thrones, which will air on HBO later this year. Although a Game Thrones spin-off is in the works with Naomi Watts, Kit Harrington hasn’t been revealed to be appearing on that show due to its place in the Game of Thrones universe timeline.

Top Actors To Replace Ben Affleck In Matt Reeves’ ‘The Batman’
Ben Affleck is officially out as Batman and it’s a pretty sad day.
Words cannot describe how sad I am to see Ben Affleck announce that he’s no longer Batman. His Batman is why I do what I do. In Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, I fell in love with his comic book-accurate interpretation of the Caped Crusader. It was a breath of fresh air and it felt like we finally had the one true Batman.
Three years have quickly sped by and we’re officially going to receive a new Batman for his next movie. Last night, Ben Affleck announced that he will not return as the Dark Knight in Matt Reeves’ The Batman and now everyone’s attention has moved towards wanting to know who the next Bruce Wayne will be. Matt Reeves is said to want an actor that’s around 20 years younger than Affleck while Warner Bros. wants someone older. My guess is that Reeves wants a fresh start while the studio wants an older actor for crossover potential.
