The mysterious connection between the Starks and the White Walkers

For my money, Alt Shift X is the best Game of Thrones YouTuber out there. His videos explore the densest and deepest of Song of Ice and Fire fan theories, all of them explained in a clear-headed way that makes them easy to understand and enjoy. His latest is all about the Stark family, that most pure-hearted of Game of Thrones families.

OR ARE THEY? Alt Shift X posits some interesting theories about the origins of House Stark. Is he on the right track? I have no idea, but it sure is fascinating watching:

So the basic thrust here is that, according to fan theory, the current Starks may be descended from White Walkers, thanks to a child born of a human man and a White Walker woman known to legend as the Night’s King and the Night’s Queen respectively. Does that shed light on why the White Walkers are coming south? Are they breaching the Wall to “claim” the Starks like they claimed Craster’s children? Will Jon Snow, the guy in charge of House Stark, have to sacrifice himself to prevent the White Walkers rampage and become a “popsicle king,” as Alt Shift X puts it?
