If Don Draper were around, he’d tell you an easy marketing strategy is to attach your product to whatever is popular at the moment, and at this moment, nothing is more popular than Game of Thrones. (And just wait for how much crazier it’ll get come April 14). That probably explains why new Philadelphia Phillies signee Bryce Harper appears dressed as Jon Snow in a new promo hyping MLB The Show 19, an upcoming PS4 game from Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Salt the Earth!

Harper, who probably should have dressed as a Lannister after signing a $330 million contract this offseason, is hyping the game ahead of its March 26 release. Specifically, Harper appears excited to play the game’s “Conquest Mode,” where players compete in baseball games for territory and such, I think? Sounds strange, but we all watch a show where an ice demon rides an undead dragon, so who are we to judge?

Major League Baseball and Game of Thrones have long history of collaboration, with the two teaming up for Thrones theme nights at games many times. Anyways, at least Harper isn’t shilling for that super-expensive Game of Thrones fashion line. Only a Lannister (or Harper) can afford that stuff.

In other fun Game of Thrones stuff, have you heard of deep fakes, the videos where one person’s head is put on another person’s body to produce hours of surreal footage? An example:

For a less terrifying taste of deep fakery, The Fakening has reimagined the Tower of Joy scene from Game of Thrones season 6, but if a young Sean Bean was actually playing the role of Ned Stark, rather than actor Robert Aramayo. Watch the weirdness:

And finally, Reddit got its hands on the cold open to Game of Thrones season 8:

Cold open. Geddit? You get it.
