Game Of Thrones may have seeded this twist in the poster (Picture: HBO)

Game Of Thrones may have become known for impressive foreshadowing in its story twists, but it seems the show’s marketing may have played the biggest trick on us all.

The final ever episode of the show aired earlier this week, which controversially saw Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) aka The Three Eyed Raven become the person to nab the Iron Throne.

While, for many, the twist came out of nowhere, the poster for the first season featuring Ned Stark seems to have included a clue to this result all along.

In the poster, Ned Stark is seen sat beside a raven. You know, like The Three-Eyed Raven Bran eventually became over the course of eight seasons? You buying this?

While it might have been simply a cool detail to add on the poster, it’s certainly quite noticeable looking back – especially as Bran is Ned Stark’s only son.

So could we have been duped all along? Let’s pretend all those hours creating theories wasn’t for nothing.

While the show has come to an end, there’s still a bulk of questions left unanswered by the finale.

Game Of Thrones, however, still lives on in some capacity, with a number of spin-offs already confirmed to be in the works.
