VIDA 9 p.m. on Starz. When the first season of this drama began last year, the two sisters at its center, Emma (Mishel Prada) and Lyn (Melissa Barrera), returned to the Eastside Los Angeles neighborhood they grew up in, navigating a transformed neighborhood in which they both felt like outsiders. That season ended with the pair committing to taking over the family-owned bar that had been passed to them from their mother. The second season, available in its entirety on Starz streaming platforms and airing its first episode on the network Sunday night, continues the show’s interest in investigating gentrification and cultural identity. “In this season of ‘Vida’ I wanted to touch on the notion of being prieto, and how colorism is alive and well in the Latinx community,” Tanya Saracho, the showrunner of “Vida,” told The New York Times, using a gender-neutral term for Latinos. “All that is our shame, our stuff that we haven’t aired out that much. And I love when we get to air it out.”
GAME OF THRONES: THE LAST WATCH 9 p.m. on HBO. If catching a glimpse of the last-ever table read of scenes from the final season of “Game of Thrones” appeals, you probably don’t need to know much more than that to be sold on this two-hour documentary, which goes behind the scenes during the production of the show’s eighth and final season. With episodes that cost as much as $15 million to make, the season was a ballet of backstage coordination. Fans will appreciate seeing how it all came together — even if many of them were let down by the fruits of that labor.
RATATOUILLE (2007) 9:15 p.m. on Freeform. The phrase “more relevant than ever” tends to be applied to aged pieces of pop culture that speak to topical political or social issues despite their age. But with the article in The Times last Wednesday about New York City’s mounting rat outbreak, that label resonates here, too. This Pixar feature, which was directed by Brad Bird and won the Academy Award for best animated feature in 2007, takes as its hero a rat with epicurean tendencies, Remy (voiced by Patton Oswalt), who pursues a culinary career in Paris. “Displaying the usual meticulousness associated with the Pixar brand, ‘Ratatouille’ is a nearly flawless piece of popular art, as well as one of the most persuasive portraits of an artist ever committed to film,” A.O. Scott wrote in his review for The Times.

SNATCH (2001) Stream on Netflix; Rent on Amazon, Google Play, iTunes, Vudu and YouTube. The English director Guy Ritchie is back in theaters this weekend with the wholesome “Aladdin,” which is a far cry from this, his well-known ensemble crime comedy about seedy Londoners. Brad Pitt, Benicio Del Toro and Jason Statham are among its heavy-hitting cast. Elvis Mitchell’s review for The Times referred to the movie as a “spicy comic strip without an ounce of fat.”
