A title for the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel spin-off appeared to have leaked and fans are wanting answers.
The GOT fansite Watchers on the Wall posted an exclusive image of a new logo for the proposed spin-off, which appears to have come from a production sheet.
The title reads Bloodmoon, although this has yet to be confirmed by HBO.
And the logo appears to look quite eerie – two letter O’s reflect off one another, giving the illusion of a moon reflecting off water.
A spear also appears between the two words, which could likely be a symbol of the show’s prehistoric setting.
This is not the first time that the Bloodmoon title has been reported on, after it was previously seen floating across social media as a rumoured title.
Although plot details for the prequel are currently unknown, it has been confirmed that the series will be set thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones.
Producers also announced the show would focus on the events of the First Men, and the Long Night event, a time period from Westerosian history where night lasted for an entire generation.
Naomi Watts has been cast as a role in the upcoming series, and admitted her fears for the prequel off the back of its parent show.
‘Having just come off the last series, where the world was blowing up over it, everything was Game of Thrones related’, she told AP Entertainment.
‘All the advertising on TV, every article – everybody’s jumping on that bandwagon. So, it is scary.’
But she has faith in the show, and believes the fans ‘won’t be let down’.
‘I think they won’t be let down – it’s a great team of people they put together,’ she said.
The Game of Thrones prequel is expected to arrive sometime in 2020.
