Game Of Thrones star Jacob Anderson is set to release his most personal album yet.
The 29-year-old is just putting the finishing touches to his next album, and admitted he’s more nervous this time around because of an incredibly emotional song he wrote to himself as a teenager – that he found tough to even record.
‘There’s a song on this album that I’ve never written anything more personal,’ the actor, recently featured in the ellesse AW19 campaign, told Metro.co.uk.
‘I got quite worked up writing it and everyone was really quiet when we recorded it. I’m a little bit nervous about that coming out but I feel like you should be. That’s a good feeling to have.
‘I feel like I’ve said something that I didn’t think I’d ever be brave enough to say.’
Asked what inspired him to make such a difficult track, Jacob explained: ‘It’s about me realising that to move on and to be an adult I have to make peace with myself as a child.
‘There’s lots of things about my childhood that I just never really dealt with properly, and I never really checked in with myself again about those things.
‘The song is me speaking to myself as a kid and saying, “I haven’t been present for you, but now I’m gonna make an effort to reconnect and understand you.”‘
The actor has teamed up with ellesse for their empowering campaign For The Win, and it’s all about having a winning mindset.
For Jacob, who wore ellesse clothes as a teenager, For The Win is fulfilling a childhood dream. It helps that the threads are totally in step with his own personal style too.
He revealed: ‘My style is pretty casual. I like to adapt to my surroundings, whatever mode I have to be in.
‘I feel like I can put a lot of value sometimes in how other people see me and how I dress in that way.
‘I wear a lot of sportswear, I wear a lot of ellesse, so I’m kind of like, they’re perfect in that sense of feeling confident and feeling like me.’
Jacob Anderson currently features in the ellesse AW19 For The Win campaign. For The Win reinforces the brand’s winning mindset, defining winning as more than just an outcome but as a style, confidence and attitude. Further information on the collection can be found at ellesse.com.
