Since Sophie married Joe Jonas, she’s been having a whirlwind of a summer. From chugging red wine at an NY Rangers hockey game to honeymooning in the Maldives and southern Italy, and even joining her husband and his brothers on tour, it’s safe to say she’s been having the time of her life.

Now, all the fun is up and it’s back to work for Turner. She is set to star as Jane in a new series called Survive, which will be streamed on upcoming new platform, Quibi. From the age of 14, we’ve only known her for portraying Sansa Stark in the Game of Thrones series so this is a big move.

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that the series is based on the novel of the same name by Alex Morel about two people who survive a plane crash. It will follow the survivors’ journey after pulling themselves from the wreckage as they battle brutal conditions and personal traumas.

The 24-year-old will star alongside Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton, Blackkklansman), who will play the other survivor, Paul.

Turner said, ‘I couldn’t be more excited to portray the role of Jane…she’s a complex character fighting again the odds to not only save her live, but also to find her own source of strength and courage.’

Turner, who is a mental-health advocate, added, ‘I only hope this can impact anyone struggling with self-worth to understand they are braver than they know and seek the support they need.’

Survive is currently in production although it’s unclear when the series is set to air. Sounds like we might have to subscribe to yet another streaming platform…
